Sarah McLachlan expecting second child

Update: We’ve now seen other photos, and Ms. McLachlan definitely has a baby in there! Click the pic to enlarge. CBB reader Laura tells us that she’s due in July.

Originally posted at 8:30 am: This photo at Canada.com has sparked rumors that singer Sarah McLachlan is pregnant with her second child. She was snapped while holidaying in Hawaii last month with her husband, Ashwin Sood, and daughter, India Ann Sushil, 5 in April. An observer had the following to say;

There was an obvious bump. She definitely looked pregnant.

Sarah sadly welcomed her first child just after her mother died from cancer. She was pregnant while her mother battled the disease;

I had to go to all of her appointments, and I was sick as a dog all that time. I decided if she could survive, I could handle morning sickness. Then, after she died, I had this wonderful little girl.

Sarah and Ashwin have been married for 10 years.

I hate predicting who is or isn’t, then I always feel bad like “What if they’re reading this and I just called her fat?” if we find out the celeb isn’t expecting. But in this case, I would say she is most definitely pregnant.

I know the reason she did two tours close together a few years ago was so she could have time off to try and have another baby. I went to a few concerts and she even mentioned that after she got home, she and her husband had some work to do!!

I absolutely adore Sarah and am so happy for her and Aswhin…they deserve nothing but the best…she is an amazing artist and totally seems like one of those “real” people–I mean look how long we went without any knowledge of her being pregnant. I cannot wait to find out boy/girl and a name for this newest addition to the family =)CONGRATS to the happy family =))

I LOVE Sarah and am so happy that she’s pregnant again! Congrats to her, Ash and India! Let’s hope she doesn’t wait too long again to make another album. I think it’s awesome that she focuses so much on her family and keeps her priorities straight. However long though, it will be worth the wait – she is AMAZING!

I am so excited! Sarah and I were pregnant together when she was due with India – and India was born only 2 days before my daughter! Sarah is a fabulous musician as well as mother and she will be wonderful again with this new addition. Congrats to Sarah, Ash & India!
