Prince Charles and Camilla to be grandparents

Prince Charles’ wife, Camilla Parker Bowles is to be a grandmother and Charles, a grandfather, after Camilla’s son, Tom Parker Bowles, announced that he and wife, Sara, are expecting their first child. The couple who were married in 2005, are expected to welcome the child in September. The couple had the following to say regarding the pregnancy;

We have told our friends and family and they are all delighted.It is the best news ever and we are thrilled.

Camilla, who is recovering from a hysterectomy, has apparently had her spirits lifted by the exciting news;

Camilla has had a difficult few weeks with her own operation and this has lifted her spirits entirely. Camilla has been secretly hoping for a while that one of her children would be giving her a grandchild. She was desperate for both Laura and Tom to get married so that they could get on with producing some offspring. She adores Sara and is delighted that she is the first to give her a grandchild.

Tom also added that his mother is overjoyed;

Mummy is absolutely over the moon at the prospect of becoming a grandmother.
