Judge orders DNA tests in the paternity battle over baby Dannielynn

Yesterday the much anticipated hearing on the paternity battle over baby Dannielynn Stern, 6 months, daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith took place. Larry Birkhead-one of the men who claim to be the father- arrived in court in the Bahamas hoping for a positive outcome, "I’m hoping for the best, I’m hoping for good news," he said.

When leaving the courtroom, Larry seemed to be in good spirits, "I can’t say what happened today, just that I’m happy and grateful, I know I’m the father, I just want the court to know I’m the father. I will be back on Tuesday."

Us Weekly is reporting that Larry got the good news he was looking for. He confirmed that the judge in the case has ordered DNA tests be taken.It seems there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I wonder how long before we finnally know who the real father is. But I think everyone knows it won’t end all this for Dannielynn, especially if Birkhead is her bio-father. I don’t think it should make a different if Birkhead is her biological father or not, Stern is her daddy and always will be, imho.

Punk_of_a_tomboy I don’t think so. If she was like 16, and Stern had been her daddy and
Birkead hadn’t cared, yes. But Birkhead never had the chance and that is not fair.

Was he trying to fight for her before she was born? I know that he was mentioned as being the possible father but why wasn’t he fighting for her then? If Birkhead is so sure he’s the father why did the fight only begin after Dannielynn was born? There are ways of finding out before she was born…

Finally, maybe this who’s the daddy thing can be put to a rest.Punk_ of_ a_tomboy, I have to disagree with you. It would be really sad that Anna kept this man away from his child for all this time. It was not his fault that he never got the chance to be there for her, and be a father to her since day one.All the blame would be on Anna and Stern. I mean if the paternity test proves that Birkhead is Dannielynn’s father, he has every right to have custody of his daughter. If stern is the father than people should just leave him and his daughter alone.

I just hope whoever the daddy is, that he’ll let Dannielynn still have a relationship with the other man, as they both seem to love her and want what’s best for her, and both had close relationships with her mom.

FINALLY!! Its about time they ordered a DNA test!!! This should end all squabbling over this poor baby girl. HOpefully now she can be with who ever her Father is and I pray they have a happy healthy relationship.

Finally it’s time to see who her father is. Larry has been fighting since that baby was born, to get a DNA test. If she is his, than he has the right to raise her. Her mother isn’t alive, and there’s no proof he is unfit in any way. If Howard is the father, than she should stay with him. I think the baby is Larry’s though, she looks a lot like him.
