The Britax Vigour 3: Reviewed by a reader just like you!

CBB Reviews reader Maria wrote to us asking us toreview her new stroller (or push chair as she called it) which she just loves. Weasked Maria to write her own review and tell us what makes this stroller so special. She made us believers!

We had been searching for an affordable stroller that couldbe used both forward and rear-facing as when our son is tired he needs to be ineye contact with a loved one in order to fall asleep. Until we purchased thisstroller, I always had to have my front carrier with me because if he gotsleepy he would just scream in the stroller. Now in his Britax Vigour 3with Mom or Dad in sight he falls right to sleep without even a whimper whilewe are out.

I use the stroller every day and here are my favorite thingsabout it:

• This stroller rides so smoothly up and down sidewalks and is even smooth on cobbled streets.
• The seat easily and smoothly reclines to multiple positions without waking the baby.
• The push handle height is adjustable.
• The hood does a great job at keeping the sun out.
• The bar across the front is great for hanging toys to and draping a blanket over. This can easily be removed though if you don’t like it.
• There’s a nice little hidden pocket behind the seat back.

Some other things I like about the stroller are that it is perfectfor shopping, the beach and jogging (the front wheel locks), that it works as atravel system (it has a bassinet feature and holds a infant carseat) and it isvery easy to fold up and down.

On the downside, I paid 211 pounds for it (which converts toabout 400 US dollars) but I still think that is pretty reasonable compared toother forward and rear-facing strollers, not to mention that it has such greatfeatures

Above all I think it’s beautiful! I have the citronellecolored one and love it. The colors on offer are great!

Please note that the model Maria is referring to is not available in the United States.  There is a US model called the Vigour, but it is actually the same as the European Britax Vigour 4, not the Vigour 3.

The model reviewed is infact the old 2007 model of the Vigour which should be pointed out, as this is no longer available, as it has been replaced by the new Vigour +.

Difference between the 2007 model and 2009 model are that the seat unit is much more simple to attach and detach than before, there is no need for adaptors to fit the cat seat or the babysafe sleeper carry cot, an apron is now included, and the big change is that the seat unit has been redesigned so it has full lieflat and is suitable from birth.

Just so that people know when they go looking for this product.
