Larry Birkhead building a nursery for Dannielynn

Anna Nicole Smith’s former boyfriend, Larry Birkhead (one of the men, claiming to the father of Anna’s baby) is already preparing a nursey for baby Dannielynn, 6 months. While leaving court after the latest hearing in the paternity battle Larry had this to say, "I’ve been putting a nursery together, so I’m smiling, I’m in a good mood."

In a private session, a judge refused to grant Birkhead’s request that Smith’s companion at the time of her death, Howard K. Stern, take a paternity test. But Superior Court Judge Robert Schnider said he would review the matter and scheduled a follow-up hearing for March 27.Larry also commented on visiting Dannielynn in the Bahamas recently, "It was one of the greatest things in my life. It was magic."

I think it would be wise if Birkhead would wait for until AFTER the results of the DNA test to build a nursery. Well, he could at least get a crib, a changing table, and a rocking chair put in. I haven’t heard Howard K. Stern doing the same thing, but then again, I also think that he is the father and NOT Larry Birkhead.

Poor Larry. What’s taking so long? Just let the man have his daughter! His Today show interview broke my heart. He was so candid about his relationship with Anna, his joy at finding out she was pregnant, his concern over her taking drugs while pregnant, which led to her breaking it off with him and fleeing to the Bahamas, him having to look up photos on the Internet to see his own daughter, and then hearing on the TV news that Anna died…. He’s been through so much. And then he was just glowing when he was describing his first meeting with Dannielynn. I’m getting a lower and lower opinion of Stern.

Wow…he must be pretty confident that he’s the father to go to those lengths! I really hope he is the biological daddy for his sake otherwise that would be terrible!

Ok seriously, How long is this going to take? This is getting absolutely absurd. Why on earth don’t they just test them already? I’m am completely dumbfounded by the way this case is being handled.

You know, good for him! At least he’s keeping his head up in this mess. And I’ll be honest, I can see why a judge would say Howard Stern does not have to take a paternity test… you know what, you don’t need him! The judge shouldn’t order him to take one, what he SHOULD order is that Danielynn’s DNA be submited for the test. Then, I guarantee if the test showed Birkhead was the father and Howard still had his doubts he’d sumbit to one in a heartbeat!

This entire debacle is taking far too long. That poor little girl will probably be at least 1 before anything comes of this and what then??? They need to do this now while she’s still an infant… where are the child development experts in all of this! Aren’t the lawyers supposed to be working for the best interest of the child!?!

This is just irritating me more and more. The lawyers are now saying it’s going to take MONTHS to get anything settled to find out the paternity of Danni. And you know who is to blame…Howard K. Stern…he was quoted saying he has no need to take a paternity test…but, he DOES! This is all his fault and ANY emotional anguish that this little girl goes through in life is going to be his fault for not getting this all sorted out when she was young enough to forget it all. What a jerk! Larry deserves to know the truth!

I hope this is over soon :-/

It is obvious to the world, or at least to those who are being honest with themselves, that Larry Birkhead is Dannielynn’s father. I am impressed with the way that he has handled himself during what has to be a very gut-wrenching and emotionally draining ordeal. I wish him God-speed in his efforts to unite with his precious daughter.

christinefromhouston: I agree that I think that Birkhead is the father. However, I don’t believe that those who think Stern is the father aren’t “being honest with themselves” – they just happen to believe something else.
