Eric Close on balancing his work and family life

CBS’s Without a Trace actor, Eric Close and his wife of twelve years, Keri Close, talked to OK! Magazine while on a trip to Chile where Eric shares details about his family and how he tries to give the same amount of attention to his work and his family. The couple has two daughters, Katie and Ella.

Do [your daughters] know that you’re famous?
"Yeah, but they don’t really care. It’s not a big deal to them, and I’m glad."

Do you two plan on having more children?
"No. Two hands for one kid each [laughs]."

Is it hard balancing your work and having a family?
"There sometimes is pressure. You think, maybe I should be working a little bit more,’ but that’s when you have to remind yourself, it is important for me to do this.’"

Keri added, "I think with Eric’s schedule, we’re really fortunate because he doesn’t work every day. So as a family, we do get to spend a lot of time together. It isn’t necessarily the traditional time that families who work 9 to 5 have, but we get to spend a lot of time together, and I think Eric’s really good at setting his priorities around that."

When asked if Keri works, she responded, "Not outside the home." Eric added, "She works harder than I do."
