French as a second language for William Atticus Parker

03/06/2007 at 10:02 AM ET

While most 3-year-olds are still mastering the English language, Mary-Louise Parker‘s son, William Atticus, is tackling the language of love – French. When the Weeds star isn’t on set, she takes William to his French class.

He speaks a little. He can count to seven and say, ‘May I please have two cookies?’

William also showed his love on Valentine’s Day when he made Valentines for his mom, her boyfriend, Weeds co-star Jeffrey Dean Morgan and his father, Billy Crudup. Mary-Louise and Billy dated for seven years and broke up when she was seven months pregnant with William.

I am really glad to hear that William has a relationship with his daddy. If I remember correctly Mary Louise and Billy had a rather nasty breakup. It is good to know that the adults can put their problems behind them and do what is best for the child.

I thought she was dating her other co-star, Romany Malco… Jeffrey plays her deceased husband on the show.

Either way, I’m glad she’s happy after everything with Billy. It’s such a good idea for them to start William with a second language already. I will definitely be doing this when I have children.

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
