Melissa Etheridge shares what it's like to have newborn twins

In October 2006, singer Melissa Etheridge and her wife Tammy welcomed twins, Miller Steven and Johnnie Rose.  In a recent interview with the AP, Melissa talked about the joys of being a parent to four-month-old twins.

It is as hard as you think it would be. But as delightful and wonderful.  No, I’m not getting enough sleep but I have these two incredible souls who are just brand new and right there, and it’s just delightful.

Melissa and Tammy have been married for 3 1/2 years. They share custody of Bailey, 10, and Beckett, 8, Melissa’s children from her previous relationship with Julie Cypher.

Click here for the full interview with Melissa, which was filmed prior to her winning an Oscar for Best Song for I Need to Wake Up (which she wrote for the Oscar-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth).
