Lebron James on fatherhood and awaiting his second child
Basketball/endorsement star Lebron James recently announced that he and his high school sweetheart Savannah Brinson are expecting their second son together in June. But the 22-year-old Cleveland Cavaliers player had much more to say about the couple’s impending arrival and fatherhood.
Lebron says he thinks he knows the baby’s due date, but it may be better to verify it with Savannah,
On June 17, I think. Don’t ask the daddy, ask the mama.
Lebron and Savannah have a 2-year-old son named Lebron James Jr., who has a regular reservation courtside to watch his father during his games. He says that he and Savannah have not picked out any new baby names yet, and although their first child is a junior, don’t expect him to follow in boxing champ George Foreman’s footsteps by naming all of his children after himself.
Absolutely not. There will not be LeBron II and III and IV and V.
As for fatherhood, Lebron says it has taught him a lot about respect and responsibilty.
It has definitely changed me. It’s more responsibility, there’s the carrying on of the name. It’s not letting my son down or my other son. Just carrying on the James name and being respectful of my family, that’s the most important thing for me.
