Celeb moms pre-birth dreams

During a special feature in the latest Allure magazine, some celebrities shared their most interesting dreams in recent memory. Two celebrity moms remembered dreams from their pregnancies.

"My dreams were interesting when I was pregnant. I dreamed the baby was a cat," said SNL star Maya Rudolph, who has one daughter, 16-month-old Pearl, with beau, director Paul Thomas Anderson (Boogie Nights).

"I dreamed that I gave birth to a dragon," said Oscar winner Rachel Weisz, mother to Henry Chance, 9 months, who’s father is also a director, Darren Aronofsky (The Fountain).

Well I’m not a mother yet, but I did have some pretty weird dreams both times my eldest sister was pregnant. The first time she was expecting I dreamt she gave birth to a boy who looked just like her. She did in fact give birth to a baby boy. He is 8 years old now, and looks just like her. The second time she was expecting I dreamt she was having twins, a boy and a girl. A couple of weeks later she told us she was expecting twins. However she gave birth to two boys. I still think it’s funny I had those dreams, though. My other sister is 6 months pregnant at the moment. I haven’t had any dreams this time around, though.

I’m currently pregnant (15 weeks) and I’ve been having the craziest dreams! I can certainly attest to the fact that you have strange dreams when you’re pregnant…

Many, many strange dreams with my first pregnancy. The most vivid was giving birth to a very cute tan puppy – Very scary.

I’m having strange gender-related dreams. I had a dream where I was first told the baby was a boy and then a girl, and I think it ended up being a boy (this all happened in the same visit, mind you). I also had one where my sister lied to me about the gender (she said it was a boy and it was really a girl) because she was jealous that we were going to give our daughter her favorite name. We have our ultrasound next Friday which will hopefully put to rest what this little one is.

I had a cat during my first pregnancy. I dreamed that I gave birth to my cat and then she turned into a human baby. It is interesting to me that Loralee also dreamed about giving birth to an animal.

I always dream the opposite of what my friends are actually having (before they find out. It happenned with me, i dreamt i had a girl and I had a beautiful boy! The first time it happened was with a girlfriend that i didnt even know was pregnant she already had two boys and was desperate for a girl. The phone woke me from another friend with the news that she was pregnant i was so excited i rang her straight away told her that she was definatly having a girl cos it was just so weird but she had a boy (that she loves just as much as any girl!) It has happened everytime since i always dream the opposite!

I just kept dreaming I was having a boy. I always knew I would have a girl, but I kept dreaming I was having a boy, even after I found out for sure I was having girl.

The weirdest dream I had when I was pregnant with my twin girls (almost 2 years old now) involved a street cleaner. However, the weird part was that it used olive oil instead of water and it was being driven by Jesse Ventura! How weird is that?!

My pregnancy dreams are a big joke around our circle of friends. I once dreamed that I was trapped in a department store because all the escalators were broken, and there were rabbies dressed in wedding gowns dancing the hurrah…

That was the most sane one. I didn’t have the odd cravings, just specific cravings, but my dreams were nuts!
