Anna Nicole Smith's mother visits her granddaughter Dannnielynn

Anna Nicole Smith’s motherVirgie Arthur finallygot what she’s been wishing for, for weeks… a visitwith her granddaughter. Virgie was granted permissionto visit 5-month-old Dannielynn in the Bahamas on last night. She visited Dannielynn from 8-9 pm last night at Horizons, Howard K. Stern‘s current accommodations.  According to TMZ ‘s sources, when Virgie left, she looked and acted "distraught."  Larry Birkhead also visited Dannielynn for the first time this week.

Howard had previously deniedpermission for Virgie to visit the baby. Herlawyers talked with reporters on Tuesday:

She’s in mourning, having lost her daughter andgrandson both within the last five months. Ourobjective is really to assist our client in havingaccess to her granddaughter and foremost to ensure thebest interests and welfare of the child are secured.

Virgie is still fighting to have her daughter buriedin her native Texas, while Howard and Larry Birkhead are inagreement that Anna Nicole should be buried next toher son, Daniel Smith, in the Bahamas.

Well despite all their wackiness it is nice to see that they are coming together and putting that beautiful baby first. It’s not fair for her to be involved in this 3 ring circus. I would take that baby for free just to get her away from all of those money grabbing psychos. It is time to lay Anna Nicole to rest and allow her to final have some peace.

I agree that if ANS buried her son in the Bahamas and purchased additional plots there, that she intended to be buried there herself. I don’t think Virgie Arthur, at 67, should get custody of the baby. At this point, I don’t have an opinion about who should (have custody), but it should not be Ms. Arthur based on her age and the apparently negative relationship between herself and her daughter.

I think Virgie is doing all od this for publicity and money. I don’t think I had ever even heard of ANS mother before she dies except that she was not in contact with her and they didn’t get along. Whomever is Dannielynn’s daddy should get custody and raise her. I truly believe ANS intended on staying and living in the Bahamas. Why else would she apply for citizenship and buy burial plots?

I really do not like this woman. If she truly loved her daughter she would see that Anna obviously wanted to be buried with her son in the Bahamas. I think that her son was everything to her and she wants to be with him in death. Let the woman be buried and leave it alone already.

I’m surprized that Howard her Virgie see the Dannielynn. Anna was adamant that she would never let Virgie see her.
