Australian cricket vice-captain, Adam Gilchrist, 35, and his wife, Mel, welcomed their third child together on Friday. The baby boy, who they named Archie Douglas Gilchrist, arrived just days before his dad is due in the Caribbean for Australia’s first world cup match. Gilchrist, who also has a son, Harrison, 5, and Annie, 2, with his wife, said the following about the birth and how mom and son were doing;
We’re delighted that Archie has arrived safely as a brother for Harrison and Annie. Melinda and Archie are fit and well, and our thanks go to all the staff at the hospital, who were brilliant.
