Sean Preston and Jayden James "being well taken care of"

After Britney Spears entering rehab and then leaving for the second time, we were wondering how her boys were doing. In the new issue of PEOPLE, Britney’s manager Larry Rudolph tells them, that Britney’s two sons, Sean Preston, 17 months and Jayden James, 5 months, are "being well taken care of."

Kevin Federline, Britney’s ex-husband, is said to not be using the situation against Britney, but rather wants to ensure that he is there for them and that Britney is okay;

It’s not about getting the kids away from Britney. He’s just worried about making sure he can see them. He [even] canceled plans to go to Las Vegas last weekend to physically be in L.A. if Britney or the kids needed him. Kevin wanted her to get help so she could be a good mother for their kids and not end up dead. He just couldn’t take it anymore. He was desperate for her to get help.

Britney and Kevin’s previous custody agreement ends this month and he has filed for an emergency court hearing to review the situation with their sons, and who will care for them.

Britney has an array of people supporting her at this hard time including, her mom, Lynne, dad, Jamie, sister, Jamie Lynn, Kevin and Larry.

She’s done a lot of stupid things, but I really feel for her… she’s clearly going through something really bad.

It seems like depression or some degree of bipolar disorder (Anna Patty Duke has it… so do I… but different degrees)

I hope that she gets the help she needs.

I would not be surprised if she suffered from ppd following Jayden’s birth and is still suffering from that… in addition to perhaps an underlying condition.

my prayers are with her, kevin, and the children.

I would also not be surprised if this wasn’t the reason for the split.

As a nurse with experience in this field I think Britney’s family needs to commit her involuntarily to a treatment facility so she cannot check herself out. She has proven she is a threat to herself by many of her recent behaviors. If committed against your own will you cannot sign yourself out. I am confused as to why her family hasn’t done this yet. I will agree that the best way to get a person to change is to have them admit they have a problem and let them voluntarily check themselves in to rehab, but they need to STAY there for any good to come out of it! If they do not act fast she will not be on this earth for much longer. Someone please help her help herself!

I just read that Kevin called off the meeting in court and that he and Britney came to an agreement that he will take care of the children while she goes back to rehab. If she checks herself out a third time, then he will request full custody.

If Kevin is such a bad person, then why would he give her another chance to get herself together? If he didn’t care about her or the kids, and all he wants is her money, he could haul her butt to court and take custody from her now or blackmail her into giving him loads of money.

I think Kevin is doing the right thing, and the fact that he and Lynne are working together speaks volumes. I don’t think he’s as bad as people want to make him be.

I am really happy to see that Kevin is stepping up. He may not be the greatest parent, but he loves his kids — you can see this from the photos of him with Kaleb and Kori, and with Sean Preston … I hope he is able to give the kids some comfort and provide for them while their mom gets the help she needs.

i have the feeling that if brit can get herself back together mentally and physically there may be a reconciliation with kevin coming up. not that i think its a great idea, but I just have this feeling!
