Cate Blanchett says sons don't look like her

Notes on a Scandal Oscar-nominee Cate Blanchett did a quick Q&A with The Metro, which asked what she has learned from being a mother of two boys, Dashiell John, 5, and Roman Robert, 2. The 37-year-old gave a rather biological answer:

I learned how strong my husband’s gene pool is. They both look like mini versions of him. I always feel so happy when people say: ‘Oh, they look like you!’ because they don’t. They’re very distinctive-looking but have my husband’s crazy hair.

Cate is married to Australian playwright Andrew Upton.

It’s funny she thinks that ; once I saw a picture of her with her two sons and I thought the older one just looked like her!The younger one not that much though.

My kids look like their father, one hundred percent! He has very large, distinctive eyes and that dominates their faces. Particularly our daughter looks like a mini version of her father, it’s crazy! I wonder where my genes went…;(
