Rumor: Britney Spears enters rehab

According to TMZ, Britney checked into rehab two days ago and checked OUT a day later and is on her way back to Los Angeles. They also say that the facility was outside of the US (People reports that it was in Antigua), that Britney refused to stay, and that she entered rehab at the urging of her friends and family.

EXTRA is reporting that Britney Spears is entering rehab.  She left New York City two nights ago, heading to Miami with her sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston Federline, on a private jet, and then, according to to EXTRA , "she disappeared off the paparazzi radar."  We received an email from EXTRA confirming that she entered rehab two days ago.  No word on if the rehab is for drug or drink addiction (or both).

If this is true, we hope it will help get Britney back on track, so she can be a better mom to her sons. It takes a strong woman to recognize that she needs help.  We wonder if her mom has custody of the boys while she works on her problems.

We’re not sure who their sources are or what they said, but Britney’s peeps say, "no comment," of course.  If the rumor wasn’t true, they would probably deny it, right?

TMZ said she only stayed a day but I posted this news yesterday about the same trip:

After partying hard last week in New York City, Britney Spears calmed things down in Florida earlier this week.

Usmagazine.com has learned that Spears, 25, checked into the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami around midnight on Monday with her boys, 17-month-old Sean Preston and 5-month-old Jayden James.

“The hotel was full so we put Britney and the children in a two bedroom condo hotel room, which is very residential and like a big city apartment,” a hotel source tells Us.

According to the source, Britney and her boys made the trip solo – minus even a nanny. “Britney called the concierge desk, saying she was not able to shop herself because she had no one to watch the kids, so would a female please go out and buy her a bright-colored bikini,” says the source. “Britney was totally wishing she had help to take care of those kids.”

By Wednesday night, the source says, Spears was feeling so overwhelmed by the kids that even though she had planned originally to stay a week she decided to fly back to Los Angeles on Valentine’s night. “Something happened,” explains the source.

But before Spears hopped her private jet, she underwent some retail therapy at Miami’s Bebe Aventura store. According to an eyewitness, Spears spent $1500 on Bebe mini-dresses while the staff kept an eye on the babies.

Somehow I doubt this. I can’t think of anyone who actually NEEDS rehab more than Britney right now but I don’t think she is ready to admit it.

I’m sorry, but if this girl cared anything at all about her kids, she would have remained there and gotten help. Maybe Kevin was a good influence on her – at least she stayed home and cared for Sean Preston while he was still around.

And missing her kids is no excuse for leaving, in my book.

I really wish K-Fed could get the kids while Britney straightens out her life. Those poor boys deserve a Mom who is home at night when they wake up from a bad dream. Instead, she’s out partying, flashing her crotch and passing out drunk.

I have always liked and defended Britney, but she’s made a lot of stupid mistakes. Regardless, I really hope she can pull herself together for the sake of her two precious boys. That she even considered rehab is a good sign, IMO. Hopefully, next time she’ll stay and get some help. It would be very sad if she ended up like Anna Nicole. Every child needs their Mommy.

I honestly worry that Britney is out of control. She can’t be taking proper care of her babies with the way her behaviour has been lately. Granted we don’t see what happens behind closed doors. There are also widespread rumours of drug use in addition to her drinking. At least she can afford good nannies.

And talk about a cry for help/attention. x17 online has photos britney shaving her own head – she is now bald. Apparently she cried in the car for ten minutes before entering a hair salon and shaving her head.

I used to think people were unfairly critical after Sean was born but her behaviour now? Very unbalanced and that is not good for her babies.
