Simply Red's Mick Hucknall to become a father

British Simply Red singer Mick Hucknall, 46, is to become a father for the first time. He and his companion Gabriella Wesberry are expecting a daughter in June. Mick and Gabriella began dating in 1995, separated for a while, but reconciled in 2003. Mick told his friends,

We’re absolutely over the moon. It’s the most amazing news ever. I can’t wait to become a dad.

This may lead to them marrying as well, as he has said in the past, "I still look upon marriage as a religious structure… but we might [marry] after children."
