Marcia Cross Registers at Petit Tresor

by CBB Correspondent Joscelyne

SimplicityMarcia Cross may have been put on bedrest, but not before the Desperate beauty selected an array of items for a gift registry at Petit Tresor.  The gift registry is a mix of posh and practical items, and include two of almost everything for her twins who are due in April.

Items selected for the gift registry include Avent Bottles and a Bottle Warmer, Baby CZ Cashmere Blankets in Oatmeal and Creme, the Baby Jogger City Double Stroller in Lilac, the Batiste Bassinettes by Lulla Smith, along with Bonne Nuit Cribs, Bookcases, Armoire and Changing Table (which Julia Roberts and Sean "Diddy" Combs and girlfriend Kim Porter selected for THEIR twins!).

Mary_cognacFor herself, she has registered for the Mia Bossi Maria diaper bag in Cognac as well as the Original Little Stork Delivery Bag.  Other notable items highlighted on this registry include the Global Fund for Children Bodysuits, the Petit Tresor Signature Baby Gift basket, and two Primo Viaggio Toffee Carseats.

I think she’s going to have a boy and a girl.

Has Marcia ever said if she is having girls or boys or one of each??? Is it safe to assume that because of the lilac stroller, she is having girls???

- esmeralda on

looks like she’s having a boy and a girl. sweet! cant wait to see the babies!

Hmmm…judging from her registry, she is registered for some blue and some pink items which would lead me to believe she is expecting a girl and a boy.

- Roma on

I wonder if the lilac colored stroller is a hint that the babies, or at least one of them, is a girl?? Just wondering if that theory makes sense or not. haha. :)

I want a baby- these items are adorable!

A stroller in lilac? Surely she’s not putting boy babies in a lilac stroller. Hmmm, maybe girl babies?

- Meg on

Marcia appears to have registered for boy and girl items, so maybe one of each?

- Steph on

Oh how cute, love this site!

well, looks like she may be having a boy and a girl! I see some blue and some pink. and some neutral. Can’t wait to see!!!

I find it interesting that she registered for the Primo carseats in light of the recent consumer reports testing on carseats. We have a snugride, and while it isn’t my favorite, at least it is safe! We are thinking about the maxi cosi carseat which is safer!

Looks like Marcia has great taste! Love the diaper bag she chose- very Bree VanDekamp. Now lets just pray for 2 healthy babies.

It looks like she’s having a girl and a boy by looking at the registry.

Esmeralda, Marcia has said that she and Tom do know the sexes of the twins, but they are not discussing it because they want to keep something for themselves.

Move is Made Pending Additional Testing Now Underway

NEW YORK (Jan. 18) — Consumer Reports is withdrawing its recent report on infant car seats pending further tests of the performance of those seats in side-impact collisions.

A new report will be published with any necessary revisions as soon as possible after the new tests are complete.
We withdrew the report immediately upon discovering a substantive issue that may have affected the original test results. The issue came to light based on new information received Tuesday night and Wednesday morning from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) concerning the speed at which our side-impact tests were conducted.

The original study, published in the February issue of Consumer Reports, was aimed at discovering how infant seats performed in tests at speeds that match those used in the government’s New Car Assessment Program (NCAP). This program tests most new vehicles in crashes at speeds of 35 mph for frontal impact and 38 mph for side impact. Child safety seats, in contrast, are currently tested only in front-impact crashes at speeds of 30 mph.
Our tests were intended to simulate side crashes at the NCAP speed of 38 mph. The new information raises a question about whether the tests accurately simulated that speed, however, so we are now reviewing our tests and the resulting article.

To those who may have seen the report earlier in print, on the Web, or in broadcasts, we urge you to remember that use of any child seat is safer than no child seat, but to suspend judgment on the merits of individual products until the new testing has been completed and the report re-published.

We appreciate that manufacturers and particularly NHTSA are engaging directly with us on this article, and we applaud NHTSA for giving serious consideration to the development of side-impact child seat tests. Consumer Reports has long advocated adoption of such tests, since government data show that side crashes account for a significant number of child fatalities.

We look forward to re-issuing guidance on child-seat safety as soon as possible.

Well, everything else is pretty neutral, aside from the lilac. I think I’d like a cashmere blanket in oatmeal or creme for myself! Best wishes to her!

I think most of those Petit Tresor registries are bogus. Most have been wrong on the sex of the baby for most stars that have had them. I think the store does it for publicity personally.

- Robyn on

Okay…there are 2 Marcia Cross registries…

anyone else notice that one?

“……along with Bonne Nuit Cribs, Bookcases, Armoire and Changing Table (which Julia Roberts and Sean “Diddy” Combs and girlfriend Kim Porter selected for THEIR twins!)”

This makes me laugh…..no matter how much money these celebrities have, they always end up buying the same things! I guess all hollywood babies’ nurseries look pretty much the same….. :-)

I think she is having a girl and a boy, going by the stuff she picked out. But I’ve always thought from the start, she would have boy/girl, so can’t wait to see their sexes and their names. I’ve read she is due early April, but I think she will have them sometime in March. A lot of twins tend to come a bit earlier, than their due date.
