Tori Spelling's new reality series

01/11/2007 at 11:36 AM ET

Oxygen_1 Already the veteran of one pseudo-reality series, So noTORIousTori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott will be starring in a new Oxygen network reality show, Tori & Dean: Inn Love,  where they will be running their own bed-and-breakfast in Southern California’s wine country (which was purchased with her inheritance from her father, Aaron Spelling. Both the show and their son (whose middle name will be Aaron for his grandfather) will debut in late March.  Tori said,  "We are still newlyweds – with a baby on the way. It’s Newlyweds, Part Two."

The show will include her pregnancy, and according to Oxygen’s president of programming and marketing, Deborah Beece, "the intimate final episode [will] coincide with the baby’s birth," but don’t look forward to seeing Tori give birth.  Tori said, "I don’t think we’re going to film the actual birth."

What can we expect from the show?  Tori says it will be funny, "We are actors, and this is reality, but part of my thing is I kind of like to put a little humor into everything." Why run a B&B?  Tori said, "I just have really good style, so I thought I could spruce up the B&B."  Producer Randy Burbato said that Tori and Dean, "may be actors, but they’re also very entrepreneurial. They wanted to create a real business."

Reality shows focusing on couples’ relationships usually don’t end well.  So far, at least five Hollywood couples who have starred in reality shows have ended their marriages, including Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica (Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey), Britney & Kevin: Chaotic (Britney Spears & Kevin Federline), Being Bobby Brown (Bobby Brown & Whitney Houston), ‘Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen + Dave (Carmen Electra & Dave Navarro), and Meet the Barkers (Travis Barker & Shanna Moakler).

But Dean said, "We’re going to be the exception, not the rule."

I have nothing against Tori, I wish her all the best with her son, BUT… i am sorry–her husband bugs me!! He has a horse face and I personally wouldnt want to look at Mr. Ed on a t.v. show, especially a dog like that who left his wife to be with Tori.

Don’t forget Brandy’s reality show; I think it was called Special Delivery. It was about 6 episodes, maybe less, showing the events that lead up to the birth of her daughter Sy’rai. Her and fake-husband Robert broke up not too long thereafter.

I will at least check out the first episode and see if it is any good. You never know… it could be one of those trashy guilty pleasure shows that people watch in secret. Luckily, I can just mark it on the DVR and watch it whenever. (No commitment.)

it’s easy to trash an idea like this, especially when it comes from tori, but i think she will find a way to make it interesting-she has her father’s vision for this sort of thing. i also think even people who don’t particularly like her may still be curious to hear what she has to say, unscripted and unrehearsed lol. look forward to the big hollywood-style grand opening they are planning for it, also.

Cheese. I can’t believe she actually compared herself to “Newlyweds”.

Bam Margera and his fiance Missy Rothstein will also star in an MTV wedding reality show entitled “Bam’s unholy union” which begins the 30th of January.

going back to the original post, i believe the last line of it was quoted by dean, not tori…..minor technicality =)

I caught Tori’s ultrasound last night on Entertainment Tonight. Tori Spelling is a desperate, pathetic individual. Nobody is interested in her baby, her life, her husband or her career. Now nobody is interested in her money because she was left less than 1 percent of her daddy’s sizable estate. Let’s not forget the former babies her husband left behind to marry this manufactured pseudo-actress. If you watch anything with Tori Spelling in it, you have no life. I feel sorry for this baby.

Uh-oh! Practically every celebrity couple that gets their own reality show gets a divorce! Will they be any different?

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
