Introducing Silvan and Ella Valensi
Brit star Amanda de Cadenet and her rocker hubby Nick Valensi of the Strokes welcomed their fraternal twins on October 19th. They joined big sister Atlanta Noo, 14. Now almost 3 months old, daughter Ella and son Silvan are introduced in Hello! Magazine in a photoshoot with mom. Some interview highlights:
On the birth: "I had a difficult pregnancy, and the babies came 5 weeks early. But I was only in active labor for 3 1/2 hours, and the twins were born within 5 minutes of each other, with minimal pain relief. My amazing doctor delivered the babies naturally, even though Silvan was breech, presenting feet first."
Nick as a dad: "Nick had never held a baby in his life before being handed his own two. He’s the most involved father I’ve ever met! I couldn’t manage without him. He’s such a support. While I breastfeed one baby, he bottlefeeds the other with milk I’ve pumped earlier. When I’m really tired, he’ll also do a night feed. He wants his babies to be well-fed and strong. Sounds like a good husband, right?"
The big challenge: Finding a nanny! "I’ve interviewed 30. It’s harder to find a nanny than a husband!"
Amanda loves to dress her kids up: "I’m incredibly fussy about what babies wear!"
The twins gravitate towards each other: "These babies are just so sweet…they have their crib, but most of the time, they share our big bed. And they somehow scoot around to sleep with their heads touching."
