Kelly Osbourne in no rush to have children despite mom's begging

Celebrity babies Kelly Osbourne and her sister Aimee Osbourne are feeling quite a bit of pressure from their mom Sharon Osbourne to have children as soon as possible so that the wife/manager of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, can be a grandmother. Sharon says that that would be the best Christmas present her kids could get her.

"I am absolutely dying for grandchildren," Sharon says. "I keep saying to the girls, ‘Go get pregnant. I don’t care who with, just get pregnant.’"

However, Sharon and Ozzy’s youngest daughter says she’s in no rush to make her mother’s wish come true. "I’m sure I’ll have kids one day but not now," Kelly says. "Everyone I like is gay or married. I can’t see myself getting married until I’m 40."

Sharon and Ozzy also have their son Jack who can give them grandchildren, plus Ozzy’s older children from his previous relationships.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I find this totally revolting that someone would do this to their kids.
Why would anyone put that pressure on their kids.. especially when they are so young! Many people have kids at this age, but if your not ready, I applaud them for knowing that and not listening to their mother.

Knowing what Kelly Osbourne’s like, I wouldn’t be surprised if Sharon said this to PREVENT her from having kids too early – she’s the sort of girl who would set out to do the total opposite of whatever her parents told her. She’s probably planning abstinence as we speak!
However, even if it wasn’t said with the above intention; it was obviously a jokey comment, again taken by the press out of context probably. People shouldn’t be so uptight about it. They’re the Osbournes after all!

I like the Osbournes, but what kind of mother tells their daughters “Go get pregnant. I don’t care who with, just get pregnant.” Seems a little irresponsible-not to mention white trash-ish to me!

wow I don’t think you’d be finding many mother’s just saying to their young unwed (not totally responsible) daugther, “go get pregnant I don’t care who with just do it!”

I agree with Viv. I think the comment was taken out of context. Sharon has a really quirky sense of humour so I think she was just joking around.
Her and Ozzy have been married for decades so I’m sure she wants her children to find a loving, lasting relationship like they have.

Ok, to play devil’s advocate here, I don’t take Sharon’s words literally. She is probably just anxious to become a grandmother and was just being tongue-in-cheek with the statement. My own mother told me and my sister (when we were both in our early 20′s) that she was so looking forward to having grandbabies that she wouldn’t mind if we came home and told her we were knocked up by some one night stand (although she would MUCH prefer that we would be in a committed relationship).

This is the same woman who had to eat crow after saying that she thought it was OK to take her kids out of school because they could already “read” and because school wasn’t that big of a deal. Unfortunately for her two of the three kids didn’t spend their time reading but rather partying hard in LA, using drugs and had to enter rehab. At least Kelly has the good sense not to rush into anything.

I agree, you shouldn’t take what Sharon said so seriously. She said it “tongue in cheek”. I find the Osbournes to be a loving family in their own way and I am sure, when the time comes, Sharon will be a doting grandmother. I am also sure she would like to see her kids meet and have children with somone who they love.
