Tiger Woods to be a dad

Golf star Tiger Woods, 31, announced this morning that he and wife Elin Nordegren are expecting their first child together next summer. Tiger made the announcement to explain why he will be skipping the season-opening Mercedes-Benz Championship next week.

On his website, Tiger wrote, "I’m going to stick close to home for the next few weeks, which will allow Elin and I to spend more time with our families during this very special time in our lives. Obviously, we couldn’t be happier and our families are thrilled. I have always wanted to be a dad. I just wish my father could be around to share the experience."
