The guys at Project Rungay asked Laura for us about her sling. She said the sling is made out of cashmere sweater fabric and that she made it herself.

Laura Bennett of Project Runway, was spotted out with her new son, Finn Bennett Shelton last week. Laura already has a daughter Cleo, 18, from her first marriage and with Finn’s father Peter, she has Peik, 10, Truman, 7, Pierson, 4 and Larson, 3.

About the sling. From the way her jacket rides up on the side she’s holding him, it looks like she’s wrapped the jacket around him. I don’t notice a sling….unless there is one INSIDE the jacket that’s the same color, still, don’t know!

Peik is pronounced “pike” and it definitely looks like he’s just wrapped in her FABULOUS jacket. I LOVE Laura!! Congrats!

FYI: Peik is pronounced Pake, not Pike.

Hummm…Emma – my cousin married a man with the last name of Peik and they pronunce it “Pike.” Guess different pronunciations….

The only reason I know is that I heard Laura herself pronounce it that way when she was showing Uli a photo of her kids on the show.
