Kate Winslet and Joe Mendes out in NYC

Kate Winslet and son, Joe, who turns 3 on Dec 22nd were spotted out for a walk in NYC. Little Joe, whose dad is Kate’s husband Sam Mendes gets a piggy back ride from mommy.

Joe wears Stride Rite’s Stumpcrusher hook and loop sneakers ($44).

He does have his mothers coloring. I don’t know anything about her husband or even what he looks like…. anyone? Just curious if little Joe favors pops any. I agree that she always just looks like a mom doing her thing enjoying her son.

Sam Mendes, Kate’s husband, is a very well-known British theater and film (American Beauty, Road to Perdition) director. He looks kind of like a normal guy, bit pudgy, cute. I’ve never gotten a good enough look at Joe’s face to see who he really resembles. From this picture, it looks like he might be a cross between them.

Having seen both Mia and Joe since they were both tiny, both children are a mix of their parents. Mia looks like Kate & Jim and Joe looks like Kate & Sam. I think Joe smiles alot like Sam and his hair was very dark when he was born up untill about age 2 then it started getting light more like Kates. So he might resemble Kate a bit more now esp with his coloring. Kate has beautiful kids, well she would have beautiful children with anyone I suppose!
