CONFIRMED: Tori Spelling is having a boy

Update: Tori confirms to People that she is expecting a son. "[Dean and I] are thrilled to be having a son together. Little boys are a ton of fun. We love talking to him. We play tunes for him and watch him kick. He already loves the Dixie Chicks! We went to their concert and he kicked the whole time. Now Jack (Dean’s 8 year old son) will have the baby brother he’s been wanting!"

Originally posted December 8th: In Touch is reporting that actress Tori Spelling is expecting a baby boy with her husband, actor Dean McDermott. A friend says, "She’s overjoyed that she’s having a boy." The couple found out the sex in mid-November, but have not shared it publically.

Tori’s due date in is March. If she does in fact have a boy, the former 90210 star has said she would love to honor her late father, TV super producer Aaron Spelling, and give her son his name for a middle name.

Does anyone else hate it when “friends” let that kind of information leak? I feel so bad for them, if it’s true and they wanted to keep it to themselves. I for one love reading about the gender of a celebrity baby when it’s a surprise. On the other hand, I hope she gets to honor her father they way she wants to.

I like the idea of her giving her son the middle man of Aaron. Since her child will be born so soon after her fathers death. However, I would also think its cute if she had a daughter and her middle name was Erin.

I had a feeling she was having a boy from the beginning, but I guess we will see. I heard her say if it’s a boy the baby will have the middle name Aaron, but if it’s a girl her middle name will be after Dean’s mom who also has passed away. Very nice to name their baby, after one of their parents who are no longer around. Aaron was such a talented guy, I loved dynasty, 90210, melrose place, and charlie’s angels, too bad he couldn’t get to see his first grandchild. Anyway looking forward to seeing what she has, but it would be nice for it to be a boy named after Aaron.

both her husband dean’s parents are deceased as is aaron obviously, which makes candy the only surviving grandparent. hopefully she will be able to reconcile with tori before this child comes to give him or her some sort of extended family. besides which, i heard aaron left money in his will for grandchildren(ie this child) even though this baby was conceived after he died.

Courtney I was wondering the same thing but I a beginning to think that child was adopted and he didn’t legally adopt it himself. I can’t remember but I know their was a little girl but I don’t think he’s the biological father.

She completed the adoption without Dean. In fact, his leaving the family in the middle of the process nearly halted the adoption all together but Maryjoe was able to convince the birth mother that it would be ok without him.

Kind of uncool of him to jeopardize that – he could have waited a bit.

I’m incredibly happy for Tori to be expecting a boy. I had hoped that she would so she could honor her father’s memory. I found out I was pregnant almost 4 weeks after my grandfather passed. My son’s middle name is my grandfather’s name, in Grampa’s memory. It means so much, so I can understand how Tori must feel.
