Rockers Nina Gordon and Jeff Russo welcome a daughter

11/30/2006 at 09:35 AM ET

NinagordonFormer Veruca Salt rocker Nina Gordon, 39,  and her boyfriend, Tonic’s Jeff Russo, welcomed a daughter last Tuesday evening. Ivy Nightingale was born November 21st at 11:20 pm.

The new mom posted on her message board, saying, "She is perfect and beautiful (if I do say so myself) and Jeff and I are beside ourselves with happiness.  We brought her home from the hospital on Thanksgiving Day, and needless to say, I have never been more thankful for anything in my life. More soon. I am totally sleep deprived, but I am so in love, I couldn’t care less if I ever sleep again. Thanks for all your well wishes, everyone–  it worked.  She’s here, and she couldn’t be sweeter! "

Love her name! I almost named my daughter Ivy (13 years ago).

Pretty name. I like it.

I really love the name. I would never have thought to use nightingale as a middle name, but it flows really well with Ivy. Such a beautiful name!

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
