Raiders' Zach Crockett releases cookbook for daughter

11/26/2006 at 08:30 AM ET

Oakland Raiders fullback Zach Crockett may be a 12-year-veteran of the National Football League but he has his eye on another profession……culinary arts.
The 33-year-old has a soon-to-be released cookbook, Cooking With Crockett, and he recently revealed the reasoning behind the new book.
"The idea came a year and a half ago. I did it for my oldest daughter, Zachoria, who’s 16, so that when she goes out on her own, she can cook."
Proceeds from the sale of the book will also benefit Zach’s organization, The Crockett Foundation, to benefit inner-city kids.

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
