RUMOR: Gillian Anderson to face paternity test

Actress Gillian Anderson, 38, who recently welcomed son Oscar with partner Mark Griffiths, is rumored to be facing a paternity test. Anderson’s estranged husband Julian Ozanne is suspicious as to whether the baby’s biological father is himself or Griffiths.

An allegedly close source said: "The split has been very hard for them both, but Julian has not ruled out the possibility he might be the father. Gillian and Julian split in April and she announced her pregnancy when she was three months gone, so the timing is pretty close. Julian wants to be sure. He has spoken to several people about this and they have all told him to get a paternity test carried out – which he is seriously thinking about." Gillian and Julian were married for 16 months before the separation.

That sucks.

But power to her ex. I mean, that timeline is sure cutting it close. I can understand why the ex would want to know.

If they were still legally married at the time of conception, the ex is considered the presumed father. The partner would have no rights to the child.

As is stated in this message this is rumor.. because the original article that posted this only talks about someone who said to someone that her ex husband would do it. As they kept their divorce very private and also as she mentioned they finish their relationship in good terms, I have no reason to believe so far there is any truth in this.. UK tabloids love to make dramas, so remains to be seen.

I don’t know whether this is true or not, but if it is, it wouldn’t surprise me. I’m a huge fan of Gillian Anderson and when I found out she was pregnant right after she announced her separation, I was a little shocked. I mean, obviously we have no way of knowing if she was intimate with Julian at the time of the conception, but… if this IS true, it wouldn’t surprise me, because if I was him, and I was unsure, I’d want a test.

The last picture of both togheter is from 2005. Even as her legal partner he would have no right on the child if he wasnt the child. Again remain to be seen.. The timing’s even closer than that. If little Oscar was born Nov. 1 but due around now, that puts conception around Valentine’s Day, not in April.

Whatever the resolution is, I wish Gillian nothing but happiness with her new little boy.

I personally don’t care. Are the Laws that regulate paternity the same in England as they are here in America? Gillian is free to do as she pleases. I love her anyway, and hope that she and baby Oscar and daughter Piper are as Happy as can be!!! This should be happy time for the family, I had 5 now ranging from 20 years to 10 years, the baby will grow so quickly that nobody has a time to even think. Good luck Gillian and love from my 5 to yours.
