Mark Consuelos says that family comes first

11/19/2006 at 08:00 AM ET

With three young children and demanding careers, Mark Consuelos and wife Kelly Ripa certainly have their hands full.  According to Mark, Kelly’s "very down-to-earth and positive" personality helps keep their family and marriage strong.

Mark and Kelly met on the set of All My Children and have been married for ten years.   Their children – Michael, 9,  Lola Grace, 5, and Joaquin, 3 – definitely keep them busy, but Mark says they do their best to find balance.

"We’re parents first, and we try to juggle the schedules.  We have a lot of help, and sometimes we make it work and sometimes we don’t."

Each weekday morning, Kelly can be seen on ABC co-hosting Live with Regis and Kelly.  Mark recently starred on the Lifetime series Missing.

I do realize these people have help managing their lives, but I am none the less impressed by how they appear to pull it all together. And I absolutely believe these parents are a “family first” couple. I love love love watching Kelly on tv. When her and Mark host together it is awesome! Michael is a clone of Mark, while Lola and Joaquin look just like Kelly’s childhood pics. Really love this fam.

I love that they have help! Humm… I kept my home, three under three and a full time job without help! I would love to know if these celebrities could do it and have a “wonder” marriage if they had to do it all and fight over money..

I love this family! They’re so gorgeous and down to earth!

If you have to fight about money then maybe you shouldn’t have more kids than you can afford!

Mom Said It

"We weren't trying to have kids. We left it up to fate. I knew there was a possibility, but I was really excited. Even if you are trying, just to see a positive result is shocking!"
