Britney Spears giving away the Jayden James photos for free!

Because the terms of their pre-nuptial includes a clause that gives her soon-to-be ex-husband Kevin Federline the proceeds from photo sales, the soon-t0-be divorced Britney Spears is sticking it to him by giving away the photos of her new son Jayden James Federline. 

Not only that, she is also shopping the photos around to, not the highest bidder, but the most prestigious magazine she can score.  In other words, she’s not definitely going to People like she has in the past.  Instead of a tabloid like People, Us Weekly, In Touch, Star, etc., she’s shooting for the stars with a glossy magazine like Vanity Fair (a la Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes‘ Annie Leibovitz Suri Cruise layout).  Of course, People still wants them (their representative said, "We would be more than happy to have these pictures in People").

It was rumored that Britney wanted Annie Leibovitz but we don’t know if that happened or if the shoot even happened yet.  If not, maybe Britney was waiting for Jayden’s possible baby acne to clear up or hair to fill in!

While this all sounds good, I wonder if Kevin can’t just go ahead and sell them before she does.

If she is going to give them away in exchange for a cover, photo shoot, exclusive…then isn’t it possible for him to just contact People, UsWeekly, Star, etc. and just say hey I’ll take anything you offer and you get photos today.

I’m kinda on board with her idea but she’s still using her baby which is kinda creepy but hey it’s her choice. Huh I knew something was up when those pictures of her surfaced of her looking like her old self. What a circus all of this is becoming..

‘People’ Magazine has always been kind to her in the past, so I think they will post them again. I wouldn’t be surprised if Vanity Fair took the offer too though. I’m glad she’s acting like she has a head on her shoulders to protect herself and her sons!

Just had a thought – Kevin wants sole custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James but didn’t bat an eyelash to get sole custody of Kori and Kaleb. How do you think they are going to feel when they’re older and understand that? Not very good, that’s for sure. Kevin wants custody of SP and JJ for the money. Sad.

I think she should definitley choose a classier magazine than People but probably not Vanity Fair so she can avoid the TomKat comparison. Either way if she gets Annie to photograph them they will be gorgeous!!

She seems to have preferred People in the past (although it wouldn’t surprise me if they ended up in Vanity Fair.) If she’s not going to sell them, then maybe they will be given to all the mags and rags.

Those pictures are just as much FedEx’s pictures as they are Britney’s but I can see why she’s doing this. FedEx always struck me as a golddigger and if he tries to make money on his kids, I understand her decision.

I think this is a great idea. It’s only selfish if she waited to sell the photos until after the divorce was done. This way neither of them are profiting from this.
If the photos are already snapped then she is probably in possession of them and has every right to give them away.

Erin, I don’t think Britney is selfish at all. She simply doesn’t want her soon-to-be-ex to sponge off their little baby, like he’s sponged off everyone else for the past few years.
This man doesn’t think twice about USING his children for making as much cash as possible – not for them , not for charity or whatever, but for HIMSELF. He is a parasite and I’m so glad Britney FINALLY reckognizes him for what he is – a loser and a waste of space. I feel bad for his four kids for having such a father, but at least they have strong mothers.

The photos might end up in the Hello! or the OK magazine?

i think it is ok for her to give the pics away and i also think she is trying to class herself up by giving them to some mag like Vanity Fair. Don’t know if it will work in her favor, but I am all for her being the Britney I know she can be! I had hoped she and Kevin could be happy and last but it just didn’t work out that way. Keep it up, Britney! You’ll get through it and you will be back! If Mariah Carey can come back from her craziness so can you!

The reason I don’t think he went after the otehr kids was perhaps bc his first intentions were to make things work with Brit….get his career going…and not have the other children in his way…but now with the whole custody thing I know he’s doing what he’s doing for money. So leads me to believe getting the children from Shar wouldn’t have gained him anything much. She probably has money but isn’t nearly worth as much as Brit.

As far as the photos I think it’s funny and I’m no fan of hers but I have to say she’s being smart! I just thank god that the children are babies and not old enough to know what’s going on right now.

Yes, it’s also Kevin’s child but they obviously aren’t going to be doing a family photoshoot. So which would a magazine rather have – pictures that they have to pay for of Kevin & the kids or free pictures of Britney & the kids? People don’t buy magazines to see Kevin, they buy them to see Britney.

Okay, it’s not going to be Vogue that publishes the pictures of Britney and Jayden James…Anna Wintour of Vogue just turned Britney down and she’s very disappointed. I guess she will try People next.
