Helena Bonham Carter's son falls from couch and breaks his arm

Helena Bonham Carter had to miss her recent film Sixty Six’s premiere on Oct. 23, when her duty as mother called.  Helena and director Tim Burton‘s three-year-old son Billy Ray was  reportedly rushed to the hospital after breaking his arm.

"He broke it falling off a sofa," her spokeswoman said. "He had to be put under at the hospital on Monday night to get it fixed and Helena needed to be there. She’d never have forgiven herself otherwise."

Accidents happen but why wouldn’t she be there. If my child got hurt I would want to be there not just to forgive myself but to be with my child.

I totally agree, why wouldn’t a mum be there for her child? I would if my baby got hurt. Bad choice of words by the spokeswoman i think, of course your gonna drop everything to be with your kid. No contest! God that spokeswoman sounds like an idiot! And she obviously doesn’t have kids herself!

I agree with Christy…if this was Brittney Spears’ child, everyone would be all over her!

Hope the lil guy is doing good. My 2 year old nephew broke his arm when my sister triped going up the stairs on the beach, she felt terrible, but kids are tough!

Accidents happen though, thats so sweet that she missed some big fat pemiere!
He did have to be put under so obviously shed want to be there!

One big difference is that this is a regular occurance with Britney, and these accidents happened when her son was younger, and could have been prevented.
