Sweetness Products: Oh So Sweet

Josiesash_copy_1I love products thatare not only different but also versatile so I was happy to receive TheSweetness Sash in the mail. Part of theSweetnessproducts line, The SweetnessSash – a maternity sash based on age-old wisdom – is a new way for mothers toreconnect with ancient global tradition.

From traditional Africato Russia, ancient Aztec and Mayan cultures to contemporary Mexico and Japan, the practice of belly-binding has been an integral pregnancy and post-partumpractice for women throughout history and renowned for its celebratory andprotective properties. The SweetnessSash is based on the same idea with a more contemporary twist. Lined in hand-loomed marigold orange silk andembroidered with the six-petaled lotus symbol of the Sweetness chakra, the sashcurves under the belly so it covers the contour band of maternity clothes and actuallylooks stylish.

The Sweetness Sashalso has its post-partum uses. Traditionallythe sash was used to support the belly after birth as well as to massage theinternal organs back into place, flattening the belly and helping to ease thetransition of the body after baby. The sashcomes with a removable flaxseed and lavender insert which is calmingaromatherapy for any new mom and is especially healing for moms who deliver via c-section.

Jennie Garth is afan of The Sweetness Sash and said that it “feels great on my growing belly.” Josie Maran (pictured) owns two Sweetness Sashes andsaid that it was an “awesome way to celebrate and connect to my pregnancy andthe history of women around the world.”

Sweetnessproducts also offers baby slings andother items through their website, sweetnessproducts.com.

Just wanted to say that this Sweetness Sash and the Prenatal Cradle were my wifes best companions during her late pregnancy.

Hi there,
I have used the belly belts made by sugarbelly.ca and found them to be very comforting. I am a nurse and on my feet for many hours at a time. I was suffereing from sacralilitis and bone separation pains due to the increased weight and presssure on my lower parts of my body. I thought it couldn’t hurt to try these products. After weeks of physio and massages, with no lasting results, I finally bought a belly band/belt. The yogi (my life saviour) it is a belt that wraps comfortably around your abdomin posisitoned where you choose to have it and is stretching and so comfortable. I am telling you the pain was instantly gone when the pressure was lifted. I then invested in another one, The metro, this one has three pull straps at the side that are easily adjustable and very convenient for everyday living and bending, as well as very stylish. I don’t think i could of worked right up to my due date had I not had these products to depend on. After delivery of my son, I continued to use the Yogi for the comfort on holdong my now flabby out of shape mid area until I was able to build some muscle tone back up and support my abdomin on my own..
All I can say is ‘ Thank you SugarBelly, you saved my body during my last pregnancy’. I highly recommend this product to any and all moms to be, if not for the sheer comfort but for the stylish look it will also add to your wardrobe.. Check them out at http://www.sugarbelly.ca
