Metallica guitarist welcomes son

Kirk Hammett, lead guitarist for the heavy metal group Metallica, is a first time father following the birth of his son, Angel Ray Keala, on Friday, Oct. 6.  Mother and son are both reported to be doing well.
The 44-year-old and his wife, Lani, have been married for eight years.
