Singers Greg and Janna Long welcome baby girl

Singer couple Greg Long, 39, and Janna Long, 35, from the Christian group Avalon, welcomed their first second child. Julia James Long was born on Friday, October 13th at 12:44 pm weighing in at 7 lbs, 7 oz.

They also have a daughter named Lillian Flowers, who is 2.

Yes, James is a family name, from Greg’s side. Lillian was given Janna’s middle name (her maiden name is Janna Flowers Potter), and so Julia’s middle name is an homage to Greg’s family (it’s not his middle name, from what I’ve heard, but it comes from his family).

Actually Elise, if you go to greglong.com and watch Greg TV, not only will you get to see adorable Julia, but you will hear Greg say that Julia is named after Greg’s Aunt (Julia) and Janna’s father (James).

Interesting I guess I was told wrong! ha. (though I could have misunderstood what I was told when I asked if it was a family name from Greg’s side – my friend may have thought I asked about Julia and not James). Regardless of where it came from, I think it’s an adorable name!

I’m glad Greg put up a video of Julia so soon – he did the same with Lillian after she was born (I think literally the day after, he had a video up of her in the hospital room).
