ThumbGuard: One way to stop thumb-sucking

10/08/2006 at 09:16 PM ET

ThumbguardThis cracked me up when I saw it in the Leaps and Bounds catalog.  The ThumbGuard promises stop your child break the habit of thumb-sucking.  It consists of a clear rubber cover that attaches to a bracelet.  It comes in three sizes- small (3-4 years old), medium (5-6 years old) and large (7-15 years old).  Breaking the habit with the ThumbGuard won’t come cheap, at $74.95, but if yucky tasting nail polish or other methods haven’t worked, it’s an option!

For the finger sucker, they also have the FingerGuard.

Mom Said It

"We weren't trying to have kids. We left it up to fate. I knew there was a possibility, but I was really excited. Even if you are trying, just to see a positive result is shocking!"
