Actress Kate Winslet, 31, feels lucky to have a husband who spends a lot of time with children. "I think it’s wonderful for men to be so much more involved with their kids. I am so blessed and lucky that I have a husband who does all that." She recently revealed she will be taking a year off to be with her children Mia, almost 6, with ex-husband Jim Threapleton and Joe, 2 1/2, with husband Sam Mendes, 41.
Her decision came after playing a mother who is disconnected from her child in ‘Little Children’. "It [doing the film] was trying to play a mother who couldn’t feel close to or look after the needs of her child. It made me more aware of my own responsibilities and reminded me how much I need my own children. That’s why I’ve decided to take a year off to be with the kids and watch them grow and just enjoy the feeling of being very motherly."
