Brad Pitt wants a soccer team of kids…by next year?

In a new interview, Brad Pitt revealed that he wants a whole football/soccer team of children. Why? So they can compete in t he next World Cup. Brad’s partner is Angelina Jolie and they have three children, Maddox, 5, Zahara, 21 months and Shiloh, 4 months. Here are some of the highlights:

On having more children:

"I’m not joking around. I have three kids now and next year i’ll have six. Nine. We’re looking for a soccer team. I want to compete in the next World Cup."

On the changes that come with parenthood:

"The change has been immense…I’ve become more clear on the direction i would like to take. Now there’s a real pride in understanding myself and what’s important to me."

Parenting has made his life faster:

"It makes you more efficient because you do everything faster. There’s no time for messing around."

Work or the kids?

"I still value the work I do, but at the same time i value more getting home to the kids."

9???? wow!! 6 even??? thats alot of kids!!! Brad seems to really embrace being a dad. That is great! I really hope he and Angelina are happy for many many years to come. They seem like a very happy and family oriented couple.

I love the way he talks about Angelina and the kids. They are great together and he sounds like he is a great dad. Those 3 kids are blessed with them as parents and they are infinitly blessed with Maddox,Zahara and Shiloh as their children. It would be adorable to see them all playing soccer together.

Brad is too cute and such a good daddy. I’ve been a fan of his since Thelma and Louise and he’s always talked about wanting kids and now he finally has 3! He’s definitely making up for lost time. lol Good for him.

I also love the part in that interview were he talks about having watched the adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 18 times. My son loves that movie also but i could only sit through it twice. Brads better than me. Lol

I think Brad is rather naive. Having a lot of children is much harder than he makes it out to be, even for someone who can afford a nanny. Besides, for someone who likes to get out on a motorcycle as much as he does, along with hanging out a lot more with wild friends like George Clooney, I think Brad will eventually find out that juggling 9 kids and having a successful acting career simultaneously is MUCH more difficult that he “jokes” about. Don’t get me wrong…I LOVE Brad, but now I can see why he and Jen struggled so much when it came to starting a family. She would have been content with 2….whereas Brad is a little “children crazy”!!!!! Seems weird for someone who spends so much time out-and-about without his children, eh? Must be stressful for Angie…

Has fatherhood exceeded your expectations?
Yes. They (the children) define what they want to be. You can’t really push them in any direction. The fun part of being a parent is trying different things on the kids and seeing what they’re drawn to and what they’re not. It’s almost like putting an array of musical instruments out in front of them and finding out which one they’d go for. Unfortunately, ours went for drums (laughter).

Brad Pitt likes to joke around with the media quite often so I think him saying he wants 6 more kids right away is more poking fun at the fact that everyone is too interested in their lives.
He seems to be a great Dad and really is enjoying it. Kudos to him.
As far as having a lot of kids it really depends on the parents. I know quite a few families with 4+ (one with 11!) kids and they all manage just fine. The older kids take on some of the responsibility of caring for the younger ones. There is always someone to play with when you have many siblings as well.

Brad is a wonderful dad. He has said for years, even before marrying Aniston that he wanted a lot of kids. As far as being on his motorcycle a lot, that is his major mode of transportation. He drives his cycle to and from work. it is easier to get away from the paps. He doesnt hang around his “wild” friends a lot. He and George are friends but when he is not at work, he is with his family. Not sure where the idea came from that he is away from his family a lot because nothing could be further from the truth. Maybe someone has been reading too many tabloids?
