09/30/2006 at 09:43 AM ET

Bt0012_fThe release of Suri Cruise’s photos back in August may haveput an end to the whole "Is she real or is she not?" controversy but it starteda new controversy all its own.  Bald babieseverywhere have been known to be suffering from "Suri Envy" – that is envy ofthat head of luscious locks baby Cruise is blessed with.

Now, thanks to the Baby Toupee, moms and dads can help raisebaby’s self-esteem and turn their bald bundle of joy into The Donald, The Lil Kim, The Bob, or, our personal favorite, The Samuel L. Don’t fret! The company is still fairly new and more hairdosare coming soon!

We all know that while parenting can be a greatresponsibility, it can be a source of endless amusement too. The infanthairpieces are perfect for this Halloween but they also make hilarious giftsfor baby showers, parties, play groups, costume parties and more. Designedwith a soft, comfortable lining, the products are perfect for infants 0-9months.

The first and only small wig for small people will run you about$25 and can be bought through the Baby Toupee website or at select retailers.

Oh my goodness!
Who comes up with this stuff?! I’m open minded but this is taking things a bit too far surely…
Babies are sometimes bald…It’s just a baby thing. How can anyone be ashamed of their baby for being bald??? They don’t stay bald forever, or it’s very unlikely anyway.
You should love your baby for what it is, not stick some fake hair on it.
No wonder people grow up with low self confidence when parents actually consider sticking fake hair on their babies so they don’t have to be “ashamed” of them.

OMG! This is the tackiest thing I’ve ever seen. I guess it would be ok for those who celebrate Haloween, but not year round. LOL!!!

I think it’s hilarious. I seriously doubt anyone would put their child in one of these horrible looking things full time. I imagine it would be a halloween only, or funny pictures sort of thing.

Those things are hilarious… what a great baby shower gift..

The most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen, plus a potential babyshower faux pas if the expectant/new mother is offended at the suggestion that her baby isn’t perfect as it is.

LMAO! It’s so ridiculous it’s funny! But I would just save those things for parties and things, nothing for the child to wear outside. I would rather save my child from being a laughingstock. There’s a thin line between cute and ridiculous and these things are skating it.

I think I actually feel sorry for the parents who pay to buy these things. lol

I think it’s extremely sad that someone is actually going to be making money off of this. How stupid… Bald babies are cuter anyway :) .

I remember them spoofing this on SNL a few years ago. -_-

i find this so ridiculous. suri is not the only child in the world that is born with a full head of hair. i hope katie doesnt take offense she has had enough with the whole “where is suri?” thing and now this.

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
