As The World Turns star Maura West expecting fourth child

As The World Turns actress Maura West, 34, (Carly) and husband Scott DeFreitas (ex-Andy) have announced that they are expecting a child next spring. The new baby will join siblings Benjamin, 10, (from Maura’s previous relationship) Joseph Peter, 6 1/2 and Katherine Marie, 4 1/2.

Even if you’re not a soap watcher, you may still remember Maura – she and Scott appeared on A Baby Story in 2000 for the birth of their son Joseph.

IIRC, she was on A Baby Story when her son was born.
She had a natural, drug free delivery and her son was 10 lbs! It was one of the best Baby Story’s I had seen up until that point, and even now. There aren’t many natural births, let alone 10lb natural births (in the hospital no less!).

I remember that episode! ouch!!

I wonder if they’ll write it into the soap (I don’t watch it but I think they wrote it in the last time she was pregnant w/ her daughter).

I just love her and so excited that she is having another baby. She also breastfeeds! Also with Parker and Sage on ATWT she (her character) had homebirths and also breastfed them. Very cool indeed!

Maura is one of my favorite actresses on daytime TV! Her character Carly on “As The World Turns” is great, and I just loved her episode of “A Baby Story” when she had Joseph. I was hoping she and Scott would have one more baby, I’m so happy for them!
