The daughter of model Christie Brinkley and singer Billy Joel, Alexa Ray Joel, was the opening act for pop singer Teddy Geiger on Thursday in NYC. On hand were Alexa’s two parents to support her.

I saw part of the show on the Today show (Sept. 8 broadcast) and let me say, the girl has pipes!! She definitely inherited some musical abilities from dad. Plus, she was very poised and intelligent as well – I was really impressed.
She wrote a song about Christie’s current (but on the way out?) husband, which was pretty powerful and she dedicated it to her mom. She said she wrote it to get rid of her angry feelings towards him. They interviewed Christie and she was crying talking about how proud she was of her daughter. It was really sweet!!

Alexa is incredibly beautiful and so very very elegant.
She is a beautiful brunette and NO I don’t think she looks like her father but she certainly has inherited his dark hair and full lovely mouth/lips.
Her(Christie’s) younger daughter Sailor however looks exactly like her super-model mama…so very very pretty and blonde but I personally think that Alexa will be the more striking stunning beauty in the family.
She simply stands out and yes I saw the item of her on “The Today Show” and she sure has LOADS of rare talent.
