Britney Spears in labor?

Update: A source tells us that Britney was out getting ice cream at 4:30 pm PST, and is not in labor right now – although she may be at the hospital. It won’t be a surprise if her scheduled c-section occurs tomorrow morning or afternoon, but a Thursday night birth looks unlikely. It is still believed by many that Britney won’t be having the baby for another two weeks (unless she went into early labor), but paparazzi and reporters will be checking the story out anyhow, just in case!

According to E! News, Britney Spears is in labor right now.  Paparazzi are camped outside of the hospital (the same one Sean Preston was born at).

I don’t know, the story sounds fishy. Doesn’t she still ahve 4 or 5 weeks to go? Hope something isn’t wrong & they need to take the kid early. But if she is in labor, hope it’s a boy!

If she really was in labor, and they went ahead and did the C-section, emergency or planned, we should have heard by now. I think it is just a rumor and not true.

How can she be in labor if she is having a scheduled c-section? She probably will never experience labor at all…

She claimed to get pregnant in February and if that is the case I can tell you right now the c-section is rumor is false.

A doctor will not deliver a baby less then a week early in less they have to like the baby is in danger or the mother is in danger, if everything is fine they are not going to let her have that baby early.

As for her being in labor it is possible but it is possible since she is in labor early they may try to stop her labor and if she does have the baby now they baby is likely to end up in the NICU for a few days or for a week or 2.

She never ‘claimed’ to have gotten pregnant in February – she gave a non-committal hmm whenever due date was brought up, and then said October, but celebs often give out false due dates to throw paparazzi off the scent.

As for Doctors not delivering babies until a week before unless absolutely necessary, I worked as a midwife, and there are many doctors who will give in for a simple life, rather than be nagged by expectant moms. Particularly in private hospitals like the Portland, the parents can choose what and when they want within reason. One lady who I looked after was delivered at 36 +5 as her husband was due in Hong Kong for business. The baby was well, and able to breathe on its own, but that doesn’t mean it was the right thing to do.

In a perfect world, babies would be born when they are ready, and only interfered with if there is a problem, but we don’t live in a perfect World, we seem to live in one where money overturns common sense!

Whatever the truth about when Britney has her baby, I hope it is happy and healthy as sean preston seems to be.
