Suri Cruise: We've seen the photos and now what?

We’ve seen the Vanity Fair photos of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes‘ baby Suri and everyone’s talking!  Could this be the most popular watercooler conversation ever?

Here are the overall impressions we’ve noted from the comments on our site and others:
-Suri looks like Tom.
-Suri looks like Katie.
-Suri is at the very least cute, with some people saying that she is extremely beautiful while others are saying she’s cute. 
-Suri has A LOT of hair, with some people either joking or believing that she is wearing a wig.  (We think it’s her own hair.  Some babies have a LOT of hair and some people have very little.  Also, some people are saying that proof she’s wearing a wig is that you can see blond hair in the back.  We believe the sun is reflecting off her hair.)
-Suri looks Asian due to her black hair and her almond shaped eyes.  (We find this really funny because contrary to mainstream belief, non-Asian people have almond shaped eyes and black hair too! )
-Suri looks older than 3 1/2 months old (her age at the time of the photoshoot)

What do you think?

(By the way, we will be returning to our regularly scheduled non-Suri content after I go out and get my bagel and copy of Vanity Fair.)

I think we should all move on. Im tired of Suri talk, im more curious to what Peter Sargards baby will look like. maggies eyes? his hair? Once the mag hits stands its going to be horrible. I sell magazines where I work and people were freaking out over SHiloh’s cover, ripping it from peoples hands, nearly having to call the police. I just shudder to think how Sept 12th will be at work. The Novelty of Suri will fade soon enough.

She is adorable!!!!! And i think she looks alot like tom but has some kate in her to. My sister had thatmuch hair when she was that age and when she was 2 everyone thought she had wig on also.

Wow, what a gorgeous baby, definately a combination of the two. She does have amazing eyes and loads of hair, I had more hair than that as a baby and cant beleive that people think that it is a wig!

It seems that those rumours about Tom demanding a lot of retouching for these photos is true.

I think it is funny that people say she is wearing a wig, or comment that she has almond eyes. My daughter was born in October 2005. She had so much hair that the doctor even commented that he has never delivered a baby in his 20 years with that much hair. I have to put hair gel on her to keep it out of her eyes. She also looked asian when she was born. Here eyes had an almond shape, and because her hair was to dark I got the same comments.

She looks like Tom, and only looks Asian in that Gawker photo because the poor thing has a fan blowing in her face.
She’s a gorgeous baby, and I’m sure they’re both very proud parents. Let’s hope all the hype surrounding the whole thing calms down now!

i wonder if the people saying that she looks as old as one or two years ever actually see a real baby, not a cabbage patch doll. adam sandler’s baby has more hair than suri at a few weeks old.

My hubby had that much hair when he was born – he looked like a monkey with a bad comb-over. Lots of babies do – eventually that sort of “falls out”. That may be what the lighter hair in front shows – her more “adult” hair coming in. Sure it looks a little like a wig but they probably combed it for the pictures, and let’s face it – you don’t normally need to comb the hair of a 3 mo. old so it looks strange to a lot of people.

I think she’s cute and looks like Tom Cruise (even though I don’t really like him personally)

My daughters both had lots of hair at birth; my second daughter had SO much dark hair that people thought she was closer to being one than being just 4 months old. I actually stopped taking her out to grocery shop, etc. because people would stop us constantly to comment on her. No wonder they stayed home and took time to themselves (and I’m no celebrity, but it is ANNOYING and takes twice as long just to buy milk.) The hair makes a big difference.

And let’s face it- at 3 1/2 months old those facial features aren’t set in stone. Give her a few months and she’ll really start to favor both her parents.

She’s beautiful, no two ways about it.

Well, with the hair thing… I thought that the picture with her wrapped up in his jacket looked like she was wearing a wig (I said I’d have to wait and see), but in the extra pic that was on another site of her with Katie, it looks natural… but it looks like she has less hair. I think that may have something to do with the retouching of the photo, etc…

I really believe that photos of babies should not be retouched. Babies as a general rule are not stunning at that age so just be honest this is how she looks. I’ve seen a lot of not so beautiful celebrity babies grow up to be gorgeous celebrity kids…

She looks very cute in the photos, but I wonder how different she really looks in reality.

She is one beautiful baby! All babies are beautiful, but she has a very grown up quality to her. My oldest daughter was the same way. Lots of dark hair, big blue eyes, pale skin, and she never really looked very babyish.

I am glad to see pics of her, she is a real beauty.

All the rumors will be put to rest, Suri does exhist and she’s a beautiful girl. I know i’m eating my words with my own speculation regarding Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes. I must admit, it was very smart on their part to hold out with the photo of Suri, after all she is their daughter. Surprisingly she does look like both parents, I heard that Suri looked more like Katie but after seeing the pictures, you can tell Tom is her daddy. I was also glad to hear that Tom apologized to Brooke Shields. I’m still in awe over how Suri looks, I guess with all the rumors and ect. I wasn’t expecting her to look so beautiful. She’s one the most gorgeous “celebrity baby” I have seen.

The asian thing makes me laugh as when I was born I had lots of jet black hair and black almond-shaped eyes. The nurses asked my mum if she “knew any Chinese sailors”! Then my own daughter was born looking exactly the same!

I think she looks cute. I think the comment about her having a lot of hair is ridicules because all of my cousins and myself were born with a lot of hair, just like her. As well, there is a possiblity there may be blonde hair there. I myself was born with varying shades of hair, ranging from blonde to red to lack. It has since changed to a dark brown. I think she’s a normal baby and people need to stop overanalyzing.

Suri looks wonderful in the magazine pictures. I’m wondering if the untouched picture Nineveh posted is real. If it is, Suri’s face looks very odd to me, like there’s something physically wrong with her face. I don’t know, but the whole Suri thing is weird. Why would anyone touch up baby pictures?? I honestly feel sorry for the poor baby. I thnik if tom would have just brought her out like a normal “celebrity” then there would not have been such a big deal made about her and she might have been able to have some what of a normal life. Don’t get me wrong, she is cute and I am not at all trying to put down either of the parents, I just think they went about it all wrong. Wow, if ever a baby was a carbon copy of her father, this would be it! I am not a fan of Tom Cruise (either as an actor or in any other way), but this girl is as cute as can be! Before we saw the photos, I was hoping, for Suri’s sake, that she was going to look like her beautiful mummy, as opposed to her father, who I don’t see as attractive in the slightest, but somehow, he has produced a real cutie! Of course, the photos were retouched, I think that’s pretty much a given with this kind of shoot, but from what we’ve seen, Suri looks normal, and very beautiful.

I think the press needs to start respecting her right to a real childhood (although, I don’t know what kind of a childhood she will have under the cult rules), and take a step back from her parents to allow this. Like I said, I don’t like Tom Cruise, but his baby girl should be allowed to grow up normally.

I think Suri is adorable, and to me, she looks like both of them.

I’m so happy to see the photos of this little girl…if for nothing else, to put all the ridiculous rumors to rest.

I definitely think she looks like both parents. And the hair, I had that much hair as a baby, so I definitely don’t think its a wig. Also in the interviews he did do after her birth he made the comments about all her hair. Even saying to Ellen that she had lots and lots of hair.
