Rumors about Britney Spear's baby's birthdate and name

According to Star Magazine, Britney Spears will be giving birth to her and Kevin Federline‘s second child via C-section on September 14, which is also Sean Preston‘s . We think this is a little weird to plan to have two (non-twin) children share the same but doubt it’s true.

We have also heard that she will be going in for the C-section tomorrow or Halloween so who knows!

Star is also saying that the baby will be named Jailynn, which is a combination of  Britney’s dad name, Jamie, her mom’s name,  Lynn, and her sister’s name, Jamie Lynn.

i think sharing a bday with SP is probably to throw everyone off. Just my opinion, but I do like the name Jailynn. Very cute. IF its a girl!

- tink1217 on

Even if the daye is true. It’s not to wierd. Not by choice but my kids were born the same day three years apart.

- Lisa on

Doesn’t sound true. She has so many Lynn’s & Jamie’s in her family I don’t now if she’ll pick that name. Star also said she asked Justin & Christina to be godparents, i don’t buy anything they say.LOL

- CJ on

Ha! Didn’t I oracle that she might find it cute for her kids to share a birthday? :D

Well, we’ll see if this is true.

- Nineveh on

The name is not my taste at all, but I somehow doubt it’s true. I was due on my brother’s 2nd birthday, but since it was a repeat c-section for my mom she chose the day before his so I could have my own day. so he is 1/15/80 and I am 1/14/82.

- Kori on

I don’t know about the name (although I must admit Jailynn would be cute) but I wouldn’t be surprised if she delivered the baby on Sept. 14th or 15th. I remember that People interview where she said “they’re going to be so close together it’s going to be weird.” That stroke me funny and I immediately thought about her delivering the baby around Sean Preston’s birthday.

- Aleah on

Having children with the same birthdate is fine if it is not a scheduled C-section. A regular delivery it is just ironic. But to purposely choose the same day… Geesh…

As for the name…

Trailer would be a good name…

Planning one big birthday party is always easier than planning 2! My son and his cousin share the same birthday (different years) and it gives them a special bond — so I don’t think it’s a bad idea.

I like the sound of the name — but not the spelling. When you break the compound word down, the first 1/2 doesn’t look so good.

- annabelle on

Awww love the name Jailynn!!

- Erin on

The Star is crap! I hope she has another boy. No trailor would not be a good name since she NEVER lived in one. Maybe you should name your kid that then. Sad that ya need to go out of your way to insult a baby.

- rocket on

My goddaughter and godson have the same birthday. They are three years apart though. My friend had a planned c-section. She wanted to do it on a Friday and that was one of her choices. She thought it was cool. And the kids think it is neat they share the same day.

- Lana on

My dad and his brother have the same birthday 4 years apart. They were both c-sections, but it wasn’t intentional to have them on the same day – I think it had to do with when the dr was available or something (this was over 50 years ago). Also, I am expecting and hubby and I were toying with the name Jaylynn so if in fact Brit does use that name, it will be back to the drawing board for us!!!

Jailynn? Like Jailing, as in the present of jailed? I doubt this is true. There were so many stupid rumors last summer about Sean’s name and birthdate…this is just more of the same.

- Anne on

I see nothing wrong with scheduling the c-section so the kids will have the same birthday. The name is alright, I don’t see why she would want so many similar names in the family.

- Tonia on

Ok Britney if you are reading this. ITS NOT CUTE TO HAVE YOUR KIDS ON THE SAME BIRTHDAY. ALSO THAT NAME IS TOO CONFUSING WITH ALL THE OTHER NAMES IN YOUR FAMILY. GROW UP!

- Morgan on

Not a huge Brit fan but the anticipation of a new baby & choice of name is exciting!

- Heavenly_Hibiscus on

ohmygod, Jailynn is about the worst trailer-trash name I’ve heard yet! Please don’t let her choose that. And I also hope she lets her children have their own birthday-having the birthdays on the same day means they will never have their OWN special day just for them while they are growing up. Birthdays are a big deal to my three children and I wouldn’t want non-twin siblings sharing that day.

- yogadaisy on

The kids would probably prefer to have different birthdays when they are a little older. I think she should let nature take its course and not have the baby on the 14th unless it happens naturally or she has to for some health reason(s).

- Marilyn on

wow, that is a really bad name.

- sara on

I’m sure it’s all empty gossip, but I do hope they don’t actually name the child Jailynn. Think about it, girlies, would you really want your daughter’s name to begin with “Jail”?

But it’s none of my business. :) Best wishes to Brit!

- KM on

I can see how giving them the same birthdays might appeal to someone who never really got a chance to grow up. It reminds me of how little girls plan (“I’ll have five sets of twins and give them all names beginning with ‘M’, or maybe thirteen children, the first with the initials AZ, then BY, then CX etc.”). That sort of sequential fantasy thought that’s really kind of sweet when it’s coming from a kid. Bet we see the kids in matching themed outfits too. Ah well, it’s fairly harmless.

I don’t believe she’ll name the kid Jailynn. She pleasantly surprised us all with Sean for the first one. Though another ‘S’ or ‘SP’ name might be a possibility.

- Lara on

Jailyn was going to be my nephews name if he was a girl but I’ve only met one jailynn before and it was a boy spelled Jalen.

anyways, I don’t buy any of it! sorry.

I think it’s wrong to give your baby a scheduled bday like his brother. That’s just not right. Babies if not twins deserve their own birthdays.

I saw Kfed on Ellen today and he called their son Preston yet Britney called him Sean. So does he just go by both names?

- joy on

Wow. I was just thinking about that name the other day, but didn’t connect it with Brit. I like that name though. I’m assuming if it’s true it’s pronounces Jay-Lynn?

- Punk_of_a_Tomboy on

I love the name Jailynn. My middle name is Jayleen and we were gonna give our son the middle name Jaylyn. My guess is it is a ploy to throw everyone off.

- Brianna on

I don’t mean to be rude and I am not picking on a celebrity here — but the name Jailynn — yes, Jay-Lynn “sounds” good — but why would you want to put the word JAIL in a child’s name — that name is just waiting to be teased by kids on the playground (and in the tabloids, etc).

- annabelle on

Is it pronounced Jail-in ? That sounds funny. I think Star is full of crap. Nothing new there.

- Layla & Bean's Mommy on

nothing would surpise me with britney! I hope it is not true. First, like Sean PReston keep his birthday to himself. 2nd, that name is horrible. Enough with the jaime lynn stuff!

- Dee on

My dad and his brother have the same birthday, 4 years apart. They were both c-sections, but it wasn’t done on purpose – I think it had to do with when the dr was available. Also, I am expecting and was contemplating the name Jaylynn if it was a girl, but if Brit uses it I will have to think of something else!!!

- rabbit on

I have a friend whose first child was born on her birthday. When she found out she was pregnant with her second, they told her the due date was her birthday. She went ahead and was induced on that day because you might as well at that point. One day off would just make the other one feel left out. And the triple birthday is Father’s Day every few years so dad is included as well. And this summer their third child was born 10 days after the triple birthday-which happens to be her grandpa’s birthday. June is kinda a crazy month for their extended family.

- hmn10134 on

If I were her I would celebrate my first child’s first birth day at home with the birth day boy and not in a cold sterile hospital room giving birth.
This is such a special momentuous day for the whole family and should be celebrated with little Sean.
If Britney chooses to give birth on that day she may either be under the influence of pain medication or in a great deal of pain and the day will simply fly by in the excitement of the bith of the new child.

Poor Sean ..he deserves to be with his mom and dad on his birth day.

- Aimee on

I don’t like the idea of the new baby being born on Sean’s birthday, for the simple fact that even if they are only a day apart, I believe it’s much better for the child to have their own special day and to not have to share it with a sibling. My own brother and sister share a birthday (2 years apart) and both remarked to me (when I told them about this) that it was a bad idea. I’m sure there are good things about it, less hassle for the parents etc, but from what I’ve seen (and I am eight years older than my brother, six years older than my sister), it’s not really been beneficial to the kids at all. In fact, they very much resented it when they were young.

As for the name. Hmmm. I have to say, no disrespect to anyone who has it or likes it, but I really dislike it quite intensely. It’s a very harsh sounding name anyway, plus the fact that I don’t really like names that don’t even sound like proper names, if that makes any sense! I don’t actually believe the story, however, but if it turns out to be trueI just don’t like the name at all. Jailynn Federline doesn’t sound very nice. I like why she’s apparently doing it, that’s very sweet, but the name, no thank you! It sounds quite trashy, which is not something Britney needs to associate with her family.

- Lola on

I like the name Jailynn, and it even sounds like something Brit probably would’ve named her daughter even if she wasn’t famous.

I wouldn’t be surpised if she had her daughter close to Sean’s birthday, although maybe she’ll even have it on my birthday (Sept. 20th), jk!

Still though I know what it’s like to share a birthday, especially since I’ve shared one wih my grandma and aunt my entire life!

- Autumn on

My mom and her sister have the same birthday 10 years apart, and I have friends with kids born the same day 3 years apart. So I don’t think it is that weird, but if I had a choice for the child’s sake I wouldn’t choose it.

- Mom2_2 on

The sound of Jailynn isn’t bad, but I don’t care for the spelling. I just keep seeing the JAIL part jump out at me…that’s the first thing I noticed. Parents have to be careful when it comes to names, because kids (and the mags and rags) can be so cruel. I made sure that the spelling AND the acronyms of my children’s names couldn’t easily be used as fodder for jokes. I felt so badly for kids I went to school with whose parents didn’t think about what the repercussions were going to be for naming their children certain names. I honestly knew a guy named Robin Hood and he was teased terribly! So, with K-Fed’s rep and the jokes out there about him, I wouldn’t put “Jail” in my daughter’s name…but, I’m not Britney and she can choose whatever she likes or deems appropriate.

- GrietjeV on

JAILYNN? yea its very cool to have JAIL in a name

- Rebecca on

She could always call it Jamie Jamie Lynn Lynn :)

- Michelle on

JAILynn? You’ve GOT to be kidding! Who would do it to a child? I can see Britney scheduling the c-section on SPF’s birthday. She probably thought it’s cute if her kids share a birthday. Personally, I’d prefer to give each child a special day. My son doesn’t even like having his birthday so close to Christmas even though he didn’t show up until Jan 20th (he was due on the 13th). It’s ok if it’s just a relative but not when it’s your brother or sister and so close in age. JMO.

- millie on

The Trudeau brothers, Justin and Alexandre (nickname Sacha) were both born on Christmas Days to Margaret Trudeau, wife of Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau.

Justin arrived on Christmas 1971 and Sacha in 1973. I’ve always understood that it happened by coincidence.

- Hillary on

I think if she names her baby Jailynn(I like the name), then the nickname she gives her kid(whether it be a boy or girl) will be JAI. I mean really, if you don’t like Britney or the name she chose that’s your business, I’m getting sick and tired of seeing some of these comments making fun of the possible nickname for her kid and the pronunciations(the pronunciation will most likely be JAY-LYNN, not a southern-accented pronunciation like JAILIN”), I just find that to be ignorant(no one here is ignorant, it’s just the comments).

Oh, and in case someone replies to this comment with a “well if you can’t stand the fact that some people are doing what you perceive to be talking trash on Britney, then why are you even here in the first place?”, here’s my answer to that: I’m here because I wanted to post my opinion regardless.

- Sarah on

Okay the baby was a boy and the babys name is Sutton Pierce. The way to pronounce the baby girls name if she were to have a girl it is JAY-lynn. Not JAILynn. Who does that?

- Julius on

I think a lot of the posts are very ignorant. I am pregnant, and I due in two months. I have been thinking about naming my unborn girl either Jailynn or Jaylinn after myself, Jamie Lynn. I don’t think there is anything unoriginal about that. I had no idea that Britney was naming her daughter the same. I stumbled across this site while researching the names Jailynn and Jaylinn online. I found that Jaylin(n) is mostly used for boys, but it is making its way into the girl name genre since 2000. I really like the name, but it is opinions from jerks like some of the people who have posted here that makes it so hard for me to pick a name. By the way, Jailynn is pronounced Jay-Lynn. This is the correct pronouncuation accroding to the English language. If you are illiterate and don’t know how to read well, I guess there is an excuse for you.
