Florida Marlins’ manager Joe Girardi was absent from Tuesday night’s game following his decision to remain home with his wife, Kim, who is expecting.
Kim, who is due September 12, is scheduled to be induced September 9.
"Obviously, the hope is she holds off until next week," said Joe. "But with the possibility of a hurricane or tropical storm, I would never forgive myself if something happened."
This will be the third child for the couple who also have a daughter, Serena, and son, Dante.
