Actor Michael Douglas, 61, told Night and Day magazine that he didn’t understand women until he had a daughter. "Having a little girl is incredible. I tell you it’s an insight. I think guys who have sisters have a big advantage, understanding the female psyche." Douglas and wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, 36, have son Dylan, 6, and daughter Carys, 3 1/2.

Errr, she’s 3 and a half…….

All the understanding will go straight out the window from about 13 ;o)

Funny, yah wait until she’s a teen and then see if you understand women.

Lo on

She has an older daughter as well, ladies.

I think she’s 19.

There has been a post about them going to lunch or sth.

Lo, Michael only has one daughter, and that is Carys. He has a twenty-something year-old son, Cameron, but no older daughter.

Jennifer on

She doesnt have a older daughter and he has an older son. But 3 1/2 is a little to young to think you know so much.

He didn’t understand women until he had a daughter?? What about his wives? His first marriage lasted 20 years. I think that’s pretty sad and makes me think that perhaps he has never had a real connection to either of his wives.

I can see what he means. My hubby had two sons before I met him,and he is so different with his daughters. They look at life through their daughter’s eyes..
