Pregnant Gillian Anderson

CBB reader Anna sends us this link to Canvas Beauty, which has a new photo of heavily pregnant actress Gillian Anderson running errands. The X-Files actress is expecting her second child this fall. The baby will join daughter Piper Maru, who will be turning 12 in a few weeks.

Blimey – the woman’s huge! When is she due? Clearly kept it (the pregnancy) a secret for a long time (or is having a 10lb-er!)

I think the dress she’s wearing is making her look bigger than she is. It’s the sort that billows out a bit. Here is a link to some photos of Gillian at last night’s Emmy’s.

Having said that, anyone who watched season 2 of The X-Files, filmed when she was expecting Piper, will know that she was enormous during her first pregnancy. And you couldn’t even see her stomach properly cause they shot her from the neck up or from behind something or sitting down. I think she said she put on 52 pounds, and she’s tiny. Piper was nearly a 9 pound baby and as a result there were problems with the delivery so Gillian had to have an emergency c-section.

I am not a fan of long maternity dresses because they make the woman wearing them look A LOT bigger than normal.
I can’t wait to hear what she names this baby. I love the name Piper, it’s unique but not weird.

Yeah I also love the name Piper. :-) Looking forward to hearing what she names the new baby!
