Tom Cruise promises pictures of Suri soon

UPDATE: Page Six is reporting that the photos were apparently taken by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz and will be published this fall.

The infamous daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, may soon be making her debut to the world. While such celebrities as Leah Remini, Jada Pinkett Smith and Penelope Cruz have already had their visit with the "gorgeous" and "beautiful" Suri, the public is yet to have a glimpse of even a blanket-covered stroller. Wait no longer (well at least not too much longer); Cruise’s spokeperson, Arnold Robinson said the photos will be released "shortly." Robinson, also added that Tom has not been reluctant to release the photos and they "will be making a decision to release the photographs shortly."

They are also apparently still deciding whether the photos will be limited to a number of media outlets (like Shiloh Jolie-Pitt’s pictures), or if they will be available for everyone.

Come on people, it’s obvious that this is a whole publicity thing. I believe it has nothing to do with Tom and Katie trying to keep it private. They just wanted to create curiosity among the public and the media. Of course, once the photos are released, there will be an enormous demand to see them. Curiosity = Demand = lots of $$$$. Shiloh and Kingston ruined Suri’s grand debut, so Tom and Katie decided to wait for the coast to be clear to introduce to the world baby Suri and make the money they wanted since the beginning.

I just want to make the comment that when ever someone says that any small little thing about Britney Spears everone goes bonkers on this board, yet it is just fine for people to bash Tom Cruise. Shouldn’t he be forgiven his mistakes as well? He has been loved by the public for 20 years or so. Can’t we give him a break also?

loved? Gimme a break. I haven’t been a fan of Tom’s for a long time and if I haven’t loved Interview with A Vampire so much with Kirsten Dunst and Brad Pitt I would of gotten rid of the movie along time ago. He lost all respect along time ago when he became a media whore. (that’s what I keep reading) At least Brad and Angelina used the money from the pictures to give to charity. I’m sorry, but the whole thing stinks of a scam. I’m just waiting for TomKat to announce. “You all have been Punk’d!”

Whatever. The whole situation is just so bizarre. I’m not holding my breath that we’ll see pictures anytime soon. And even when we do people are still going to doubt this baby’s parentage, age, etc. It’ll just fuel the fire in my opinion.

Opinion:
I think the difference a lot of people are expressing here between Britney and TC is that Britney has done stupid things out what appears to be sheer stupidity/airheadedness, whereas TC has publicly attacked psychiatry and people like Brooke Shields (not just once, but twice) out of the sheer need to proselytize (though he considers it “helping” people).

I have never spent a cent of my money on anything Tom has done (no movie tickets, rentals, purchased DVDs or pay-per-view movies) and I will continue to refrain from lining his (and the Church of $) pockets with my money…there are too many reasons to go into here for why I can’t stand him. As for Suri, I don’t care if I see pictures or not and I surely won’t pay a cent to see those, either. This whole Tom/Katie-Kate/Suri/Scientology thing is way beyond boring and tedious.

If Tom and Katie’s motive for keeping Suri out of the spotlight was to “cultivate interest”, I think they took it overboard. For a while there, I think everyone was really interested to see, but I think many of us have reached the point where it just doesn’t matter anymore.

I usually don’t come back to respond, but the couple of people who commented about other people’s disinterest, you do realize we ARE on topic. The discussion is about interest in SEEING the photos once they’re eventually released. Now if this post actually contained photos and we were talking about how we don’t care about them, then I could understand your “confusion”. Go back to patrolling the comments though, by all means.

i would be curious to see what suri looks ,like, but i certainly wo’t buy the magazine she is in. I did buy Brit’s People cover with SP though. I have bought other magazines with celebs an dtheir babies inthem or on the covers. I don’t really like tom anymore. i think he has destroyed his credibility and most people i have discussed it with think he has a mental stability problem. I feel for katie and suri and their futures. hopefully, they are all happy.
