Australian TV presenter Jessica Rowe expecting first child

Australian TV presenter, Jessica Rowe, 35, and her husband 60 Minutes reporter, Peter Overton, 40, are expecting their first child. This morning on her program, The Today Show, Jessica announced that she is three and a half months pregnant and is due January 22nd.

Jessica gained further public attention when documents last year revealed that channel 9 CEO Eddie McGuire planned to sack Jessica in a quest to stall ratings for the network. However, Jessica continues to work for the show and is on the show weekday mornings.

Jessica’s loyal husband, Peter, said that he is "amazed by her strength; she is an amazing and beautiful woman."

Jessica and her mother, Penelope released a book, The Best of Times, The Worst of Times in 2003, detailing the family’s journey with bipolar disease.

You can watch the video of Jess’ announcement on the show’s site. They also make a joke about Jess going to Namibia a la Angelina Jolie to have the baby. Peter also added that they won’t be finding out the sex of the baby until the birth.

Cool. They’ve talked about having kids in the past so it’s nice to hear that is happening now. They seem like they’ll be good parents.

Dad Said It

"Harper was a name that we've loved for a long time for a couple of reasons. Harper is an old English name, and Victoria's favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird."
