Twins on the way for Strokes guitarist and Brit star

Cover0928bigThe Strokes’ guitarist Nick Valensi, 25, and his new wife Amanda de Cadenet, 34, are expecting twins. The babies will join older half sister Atlanta, 14, from Amanda’s previous marriage to Duran Duran’s John Taylor. You can view photos from Amanda’s pregnancy photo shoot with Hello! Magazine at Oh No They Didn’t.

The twins will be the second and third Strokes babies. Bassist Nikolai Fraiture has a child, supposedly a daughter called Elysia, with his wife Ilona.

I love The Strokes also. Congrats to them.

But, you just know, that with a daughter called Atlanta that these babies are gonna have some wacky names too.

What does the wife do? (besides being an obvious groupie)

Stacey, Amanda was kind of a socialite in England, the ‘wildchild’ daughter of racing driver Alain de Cadenet. She worked at MTV, was a model and actress (small part in Brokedown Palace) and is now a pretty successful photographer. She had done work for Vogue and has photographed many celebrities. She was also know for being the girlfriend (and still good friend) of Keanu Reeves and one-time Courtney Love galpal.

Funny, a couple of years ago I found some old Hello! magazines in the loft, one of which featured exclusive photos of Amanda, then-hubby John Taylor and newborn Atlanta – the pics looked pretty similar to those cute first Shiloh photos.
This is the first time in ages I’ve read or heard something about Amanda. Congrats to her, Nick and Atlanta!
