Colin Farrell's son is his "greatest priority"

Irish actor Colin Farrell is determined to mend his bad-boy ways so he can be a better dad to his two and a half year old son James Padraig with his ex-girlfriend Kim Bordenave. Colin entered rehab in January 2006 to battle an addiction to pain killers, a move he now says was prompted by his desire to be around for James. "I have a new-found appreciation of life. I wasn’t suicidal but I never had much of a will to live for a long time. Now I want to watch my son grow up, be his friend and his father, and hang around with him. He’s the greatest priority in my life." Colin has even put his romantic life on the back burner for James’s sake– "I don’t have a significant other. I’ve found a love I never thought I’d find with my son."

Step one in Colin’s plan to settle down was to buy a $4.3 million Hollywood home for he and James to share. "All I have is two lawn chairs and a sleeping bag in it so far. I bought the house so my son can have a bedroom, so he doesn’t have to stay in hotels with me."
