Brad Pitt says kids are "a true joy"

Actor Brad Pitt, 42 commented on a recent Today show interview that having children is a true joy: "It really changes your perspective on the world. You know, I’ve had my day. I made some films, and I’ve really had a very fortunate life, and it’s time for me to share that a little bit." He said that having children "completely changes your perspective and certainly takes the focus off yourself, which I’m really grateful for."

He also commented on parenting: "You feel you want to be there and not miss out on anything. It’s a true joy (and) a very profound love. You can write a book, you can make a movie, you can paint a painting, but having kids is the most extraordinary thing I’ve ever taken on," and on Shiloh: "Man, if I can get a burp out of that little thing I feel such a sense of accomplishment."

Pitt has three children with partner Angelina Jolie – Maddox, 4 1/2, Zahara, 18 months and Shiloh, 2 months.

Wow….God bless they ALL! That family is amazing! Brad is such an awesome Dad and that’s what he’s wanted for a long time now and I’m glad he and Angie are doing such wonderful things in the world and caring for their children.

Seems like Brad got that instant family that he wanted so bad, and he really did not even have to do any work for it..except cheat on his wife. I cannot stand that man, Angelina is alright, but he just acts like what he did was fine…ugh!

Brangelina are helping humanity. Brad is using his wealth and talent to help where he can. Brangelina offsprings will follow in their parents footstep and also get involved with the humanity struggle.

Not only am I happy that he’s trying to help out NOLA but listening and watching Brad talk about his children made my ovaries sing. There’s nothing sexier than a man who understands what a privilege it is to be a father.

I love him and Angelina. Not only for what they are doing for the world but for how they raise their kids. Brad went in there and adopted those kids and loves them with all his heart. He always said since the very begining of his career he wanted kids. I am so happy for him that he now has 3 and has a wonderful relationship with Angelina. I cant wait to see when the family expands. Hey if I had extra money, I would be adopting all over the place.

I’m so sick of the whole “Brangelina thing”.
I do not like the way that everything they do gets to be blown up.
There are a lot of people who do good things for the planet, or revugees”.
And don’t put it in the news!
And the fact that he “messed around”, while married doesn’t make him “cool”.

I love that they are using their celebrity to help others. For a change, YAY for celebrities who wants to help and nuture their children as well, at least Brad is not whoring around trying to be the sexiest man.
Bill and Melinda Gates were on Today show this morning with Clinton, I love what Bill and Melinda are doing with their wealth, especially when they do not have to.

Good for Brad, he’s reaching out to the people in NOLA by lending his celebrity’s status, his time, his effort in contributing to the community to help rebuild this city in which every seem to forget nearly a year ago. It’s nice to see NO are back into focus. Thank You Brad for bringing back the focus and attention where it was needed. I’m a father myself. I can understand Brad’s pride and joy of being a father and that it certainly give you a different perspective and not focus on yourself. I’m glad Brad found love in a wonderful woman name Angelina and their three beautiful children.
